Hello!
I checked the Verbatim website for common Windows/USB drive problems. Since I don't know your exact model the information I'm giving is pretty general, but from the Verbatim website it looked like something that could help.
For one, Verbatim says you don't need drivers for your drive to work, but if you're having issues installing their driver might help. Go to their website (
Verbatim.com) and in the top left go to "Support". From there you should be able to enter your model and download drivers. The installation instructions are usually on the same page.
The second potential fix is to increase the USB power to the drive. The Verbatim site says that some of their drives require plugging into 2 USB ports to get enough power to run the drive. If this is the case for your drive, you should've gotten a USB cable that is shaped like a "Y". The two wires at the "top" of the "Y" go into two USB ports on your computer. It also said that if even you didn't get the cable you could still be having power issues. You'll have to go to the Support section of the site and enter your model number to see if this could still be the problem.
Good luck! Remember to rate the responses you get!
