I have an HP rz1710 pocket pc. Can't seem to get battery fully charged. It gotten worse over time. After charging overnight or all day, it still shows low battery, then displays the hp IPAQ screen with...

If the unit will work while in the charger, it is most likely the battery has reached the end of its useful life. If this is the original battery, you are quite fortunate it has lasted this long and have taken good care of it because these batteries seldom last more than a two or three years before needing replacement.

How do I prevent loosing data when my battery discharges

Hi. Actually, on pocket pcs there's a backup battery onboard, but in your case maybe backup battery is dead. So you can have that changed or you can charge your PDA on regular basis. Hope this helps.

ACER n30 PDA - RENEW THE BATTERY?

There is a lot of very confusing information about this battery pack and PDA - many companies are selling the battery without instructions and many reviewers/users claim that there is no way to replace the battery. Acer makes no mention of this either way and didn't seem too keen to answer the question. The screws that you mention appear to be the ones as at least one company is selling the battery with a screwdriver included that appears to be the one for the four thin screws. Just make sure there are no other screws hiding under a sticker or similar - running a stylus over any stickers should reveal any potential screws that may have to be removed (almost certainly opening the case will void the warranty if still an issue) Another company is also selling an "unmarking case opening tool" which is essentially a small plastic spatula - therefore I believe that when the screws are out you should be able to push something gently into the gap between the shells, popping it open - from photos it would appear that the small groove between the shells in the corners are the places to start. BE gentle and careful with this as the possibility of damage is there, but once one part of the shells start to separate you should be able to see clearer what is holding them together. If you want a bit more info then try e-mailing these guys; http://www.pdasmart.com/pda-battery-center/battery_ACER_ACER-N30_battery_center.htm They should be able to help as they do sell the battery and are well respected. Hope this helps and good luck :) - if you are in any doubt about doing it yourself then i recommend finding a repair shop near you, although I cannot believe it is too complicated to open. if there is any confusion about actually swapping the battery once the case is open, please post back with a photo of the inside and I hope we can help, but i think it should be easy enough once you are in - make sure you ground yourself properly and touch as little as necessary when inside.

My PC not turn on

The Toshiba Pocket PC e330 is shipped with an Enabled security feature, which switches off the batteries. In order to be able to turn on the unit, the Battery Switch must be in a battery "Supply" position. Please check if the Battery Switch is in a Stop position or Supply position. The Battery Switch can be found on the lower left edge of the unit, next to the "DC-In Socket". Please see the below diagram The Battery Switch supplies or stops power to the Pocket PC. When using the Pocket PC for the first time, slide this switch to the left with the stylus pen. If you have further questions, please refer to the Instruction Manual page 2-3 (20 of 105).
