Hi sir, i cant download photos from the camera. When i connect it with the pc i just see an archive called "pmp_usb". This is the message that archive contains: "[ml_pmp] syncOnConnect_time=1273545644" No other carpet is active.

Usually usb device not recognized is due to damaged usb cable or usb port..use a different usb cable and connect it to your pc, if your usb cable is ok then connect it to a different usb port. if the problem in not with the usb cable or port install driver from the cd you got with camera. if you dont have that cd download driver from the device manufacturer site.

It seems to have something to do with the number of photos on your memory card. You should probably consider removing some of the photos you may have already downloaded. You can also use a USB card reader to get direct access to the card.

Just did this with my daughter and it worked:

1. Turn PC on.
2. Plug camera cable into Camera.
3. Plug camera cable USB end into computer USB port.
4. Turn on Camera... wait until camera show message 'USB, PC, Pictbridge'.
5. PC should be selected if not select by highlighting and press shutter button.
6. Press 'Shutter' button.
7. Window 'Autoplay' appears on PC. Select 'import' in Autoplay window.
8. Another window will ask you to name your picture folder. Give it a name.
9. The pictures download to the picture folder automatically.
10. Turn the camera off and disconnect cable from camera and from the PC
11. ENJOY!!

Hey all actual solution...sort of will get you your files well it worked for me.

i have winrar on my windows 7 pc but should work for anything with winrar.

1. open my computer
2. right click memory stick pro duo
3. click "add to archive"
4. in the winrar window under format on the left hand side of the window half way down select "zip" format
5. click "ok"
6. once your files have archived the DCIM folder and MISC folder will be in the archived file and should be accessible from there
7. NOTE: you cannot extract files after the archive has been created DCIM folder and MISC folder will still be invisible even if you extract them from the archive.
8. Files can still be drag and dropped out of the DCIM folder onto desktop or chosen destination from the archived file.

its just the USb isn't enough space for the usb port to fit in, thats all

IF the images are lost (can't see them thru the camera), format the memory card (Photo mode button - Set - Format). These cards need to be reformatted frequently. I do it once a month, but I'd recommend it once every 500 pictures.
