The arm on my ice maker somehow dislodged itself even though we do not put food on or near the ice bin.
Every time I thought I placed the metal rod into the proper hole. FInally I took a hand mirror and realized there is another hole further back that the arm was supposed to go into. It works fine now. Hope this helps you too.

We recently had a water supply connected to our Whirlpool refrigerator model GB2FHDXWB02. After ~ 18 hours no water has entered the ice maker? What is the problem? Can I manually initiate water going into...

Make sure you actually turn the icemaker on, there is a arm that you have to trip in side that will activate the solenoid that make water enter the ice marker. Also keep in mind that the air in the line has to work out so give it 24 hours to make it to the ice maker. You should see the hose in the back of the frig, that runs from the solenoid to the ice maker. Also check the ice maker itself to make sure it is plugged in completely. Good luck

Kenmore coldspot ice maker not working

check to make sure the water hasn't frozen in the tube that it should fill the tray with. Please let me know if this isn't the problem and I can further assist you. If frozen, you should thaw out the freezer to get it working again.

Good luck

Fix icemaker

Start at the water valve at back of unit and work your way to the ice maker. Make sure the hose at the back of the frig isn't block. Also that the arm on the maker is down and in the on position. If all this checks, then go back to the solenoid that turns the water on and off to the ice marker.

Ice maker quit working but water dispenser still works, the reservoir to make cubes also empty.can you advise?

If the ice maker tray is empty you may have a water valve failure. usually this unit have a dual valve 1 for the dispenser the other one for the ice maker some time a side fail and the entire solenoid have to be replace. the ice maker can also be bad. an easy way for you to test if ice maker is good is by putting water manually inside the ice maker tray depending on how cold is your frig wait about 2 hrs or less if the ice maker cycles and drop ice then water solenoid is the problem if not then replace ice maker.

Jenn-Air Side-by-side Refrigeration not making ice and leaks water underneath when ice maker arm is up

With the arm up in the ice tray, the water solenoid valve should be closed. When the arm drops, that tells the ice maker to open the water solenoid valve to fill the ice maker tray. It sound like the leak is at the inlet side of the water solenoid valve. On some models its not easy to get to, but follow the water line to it. Hope this is it for you. Good luck.

Ice maker stopped making ice.

Check the line to be sure it is not frozen. If that is OK check the solenoid valve, that probably failed.
Good Luck,

Kitchenaid refrigeratorice make no water

When the ice maker stops to fill with water ,check if the solenoid (dual valve) gets power (110 volts) ,if it does and won't open you have to replace it ,but if it doesn't get any power ,the problem is the ice maker itself.

Ice maker arm rolls up and down butice tray doesnt fill with water

Hi, check to make sure water supply o/k. if there's water present, first check water solenoid valve, pull out ref. and disconnect your water connection, look inside solenoid valve, clean any debris from it, connect water and try ice maker, if it didn't work, disconnect water and check water solenoid valve, that's devise, where you make, your water connection, remove two wire from it(coil) and check coil for continuity, check for resistance with ohm meter, sometimes they burnt out. good luck.

Kenmore Elite ice maker is not working & red light is blinking

Most likely a problem with the main ice making unit itself. I bought mine at ebay for $49 including shipping. Very simple to replace. You just swap the wiring harness and bottom plate. Takes about 20 minutes to do.
Make sure you do the IR led test. If you think you IR sender and receiver are bad to, $57 on ebay for the set. Most likely not your water solenoid in the lower back of frig (it gets the signal to turn on from the receiver module of the IR board.
Probably not your water filter (cuz the front water dispenser still probably works right?)
And probably not a clogged or frozen line.
Good luck. When it doubt, trust ebay!

Water dispenser fine but ice maker not working

Hi. A good way to check the ice maker water solenoid valve is to swith the wire lead from the dispenser water solenoid valve to the ice maker water solenoid valve. Now push the water dispenser lever and water should come out your ice maker fill tube. If not, either the fill tube is frozen or the ice maker water solenoid valve is bad. Take the 1/4 inch tube that runs up the back of your freezer off at the ice maker water solenoid valve and blow thru it. If you can't, the tube is frozen. If you can, the valve is bad. Good luck, Mack
