It is presumed that you are getting the following error message:
"Bootmgr is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

The error generally pops up when the boot sector is damaged or missing. To troubleshoot the issue, you can refer to the instructions mentioned on the following link:

Bootmgr missing

You need to have a operating system's disc because you would need to load the bootmgr from it. Insert the disc and start your computer. Your computer will ask you to boot to the cd. Hit enter and run a start up repair so that the missing system file will be added.

I hope this helps!

It sounds like you unplugged it as it might of been rewriting the boot up files. If you have the recovery CD for your laptop still you can go recover it but using the CD and selecting the repair option. Make sure not to select the format part though.

You can try to Repair your Windows using the Windows installation CD (for Repair choose R when prompted). You can let the automatic repair to try and fix it, if that doesn't work upon restart reboot and start the Repair again, but this time select Command Prompt or Console and put in "bootrec /rebuildbcd" without the quotes.
