I have the same unit and the same problem. My dryer no longer gets hot enough to dry my clothes. I have emailed Frigidaire parts and asked if they have a heating element for my unit.

How do I replace the dryer belt?

Hello Philip, I appreciate your inquiry!

Based off the information you have provided you need help with replacing the belt on your Frigidaire laundry center. In order to access the pulley you would need to disassemble the laundry center. I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper disassembly of your laundry center. Incorrect disassembly could cause personal harm or future issues within the laundry center. Best of luck! -Matt

How do you change the heating element

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you want to know how to change the heating element in your laundry center, model# FFLE2022MW. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician, for further assistance. Makes a ticking or clicking noise when dryer is on. How can I fix it? The heat and tumbler still works though.

Hi Lisa, thank you for your post!

Based on the above-listed model number, FEX831CS it shows you have a Frigidaire laundry center. However, you mentioned that it is a gallery series. So do you have a laundry center or a Frigidaire gallery dryer? In order to better address the issue, what is your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag, which lists your model number, on the right or left edge on the inside of the door. How often do you hear the ticking or clicking noise? With this information I can better assist you. Thank you!

Dryer heat not working

Without knowing your problem, I would guess that the heating element has burned out. This is a common issue with many dryers, regardless of brand.

The hearing element in a clothes dryer is like any other heating element, such as in a space heater, heat gun, or hair dryer. It is basically a continuous coil that is held in place by insulators, usually ceramic.

As the element ages, the coil becomes brittle and can often break. When a breakage occurs, the circuit is no longer complete and will not produce heat.

Replacing one is fairly simple.

  1. The first thing that you should do is unplug your dryer.
  2. Once unplugged, remove the exhaust duct.
  3. Use a screwdriver to remove the electric access panel in at the rear of the dryer.
  4. Locate and remove the heating element.
  5. Inspect the element for a break in the coil. The problem is not always obvious so it may be good to do a continuity test on it.
  6. Replace part if necessary. Elements will usually run $20 or so.
  7. Assemble in reverse order and test.

This website has some really great detailed step by step instructions on replacing a heater element.

Good luck.
