Question about Rainbow E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum

Hi: I took my unit apart to clean it. I was careful to put it back exactly as I took it apart. Now it won't start. I also need a new filter. I rinsed it out but it still stinks.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way is to check your owner’s manual to see the trouble shooting guide of which may help you. It could be a loose wire; or the separator could be on too tight, I am going to give you the Rainbow / RexAir Factory phone # so that you can check with cust serv or their serv tech support. Feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area also.
