First, the obvious, check speaker jacks, and speaker power button...then, go to control panel and click "sounds and audio devices"...make sure the "Mute" box is un-checked and volume is turned up..if all of this is o.k., then, go to control panel, Click "System" and then "Hardware" tab , then, "Device Manager" , check to see if you have a yellow yield w/ exclamation point..if you have this, it is probably a driver problem, it will probably need to be re-installed.

I have a Lenovo desk top. How to turn on its speaker?

If it has a speaker, the speaker should be plugged in (power + data cord...2 cords) and the power switch on if it has one (usually does) ...in the bottom right-hand corner of the task bar (Windows OS) there is a speaker icon...make sure it is not muted (has a diagonal line through it) If all that fails, open the control panel (Start Menu - Control Panel rh side) and go to SOUND...and see if the device is selected. Check the volume settings and run speaker tests. If you still have no sound, probably call a tech...you may a motherboard or sound card issue (depending on if you have a sound card or not) Next time, please put information about the operating system, version, year, etc. and a few device details.

After pluging my desk top to an external speakers ther was aspark and then there was no sound in my desktop what i should do i checked the control panal it say sound is working properly should i put a new...

The external speakers most likely generated electrical feedback to your computer. If you can plug in headphones and get sound from them, then your computer's sound card should be OK. If not, then the electrical feedback has damaged your computers sound card. Sound cards are fairly inexpensive thankfully.

Having speakers to work on vizo desk top . all in on desktop!

You need to remove the unknows first. Try the speakers on another device. You could try a walkman, another computer or anything with an 1/8th" Stereo jack. Prove that the speakers work or get a pair of headphones to check out your PC. If you are using the green jack on the back try the headphone jack on the front. If the front works and the back doesn't check the sound card options / set up. Some have an icon by the time in the bottom right corner others will need to be found under the sound effects manager or the sounds and audio devices icon. I suspect if you get this far something has been turned off in the software.

Gateway desk top no sound from speakers

Do you get sound when it boots up? If not, you should see a little icon that looks like a speaker on the bottom right of your task bar. Click on it and turn the volume up by moving the slider. If you do get sound when it boots up but don't get it elsewhere, more details will be needed.

Acer aspire desk top t180 has no sound

Sounds like he forgot to plug back in the sound cable when he took his iPod out. Simple fix for this. Pull out the desktop box (computer) and find what should be a green sound cable and plug it into a green port in the back of your computer. If your having trouble as to what it looks like, get your son to identify what he took out of your desktop to listen to his iPod and plug it back in. Also check that your speakers are turned on and are up on the speakers and on your desktop, which you can find in the bottom right hand corner near your desktop clock. The icon looks like a speaker and just click on it once and make sure its up all the way and not muted. Let me know if this works or not

Hope This Helps
