Check the function keys to see if one of them has an icon for Wifi, and check to see if there is a switch on the front or side that would turn the Wifi on.

Go to your control panel, then select device manager, slect network adapters and from her you should see you wifi adapter. It is probably gray because it is of Move the cursor over the wifi icon, right click your mouse and choose enable device. This should do the trick.
