Home theater / tv hook up

An HDMI cable would give you digital audio. At the very least, use probably have a left and right analog audio input.

Is my model digital

Yes it is called "DTV" digital television, you will need a tv, the tv must have a digital tuner built in most do now a days, if your tv is older you will need a digital converter box also, you can go down to your local store to find a digital antenna- take it home and try it. the issue with this is you can get all channels perfectly in one room with no problem and in the next room with the same exact equipment you wont get any or very little channels, unlike traditional analog television digital television either works or not, no sketchy picture- best advice is to buy a set up from a store that allows returns and try it, if it don't work try a different antenna, also try moving it around, keep in mind you will interfere with the signal so if it works take a seat in you chair it might interrupt the signal--Good Luck.

Hi, I have a sony bravia tv ( klv20G300A) which was bought in Hong Kong about3 years ago . I haven't been able to get it to work with the uk digital signal. I am wondering about it's compatibility-...

This tv has analog tuner and you need digital tuner in tv to get digital signal in UK, alternate way is to hook cable box with this tv that will convert digital signal into AV output that will connect to AV input of tv to get cable channels.

The digital switchover is today.I have contacted the national helpline who advise choose menu and then choose install which I cannot locate. Can you please advise the steps I need to take. We have lost...

If your TV is not in Digital it won't give you the tuning option.
Select DTV from the on screen menu, (like scart 1 scart 2 etc). When you have found DTV select it and then press menu for tuning.
Hope that helps.

Is a FLM-153B a digital tv

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} This is the sort of thing a lot of people are wondering lately. the answer is no. you'll need a converter. the picture quality is 1080i and 720p so it is an HD display, but it has a standard tuner built into the unit also called NTSC - the old broadcast standard. to get a digital picture on that TV you'll need an ATSC tuner. you can buy one that plugs into your TV. The US government is offering rebated on digital converters which is a good option. check http://www.dtv.gov/
You can buy digital connectors and digital cable at most retails stores to hook the equipment up.

-good luck-

Polaroid LCD digital audio output problems

I see the problem. Your TV is bad-***, so don't blame it. It's just the digital coaxial built only for the receiver part of the TV for the antennae and cable. I don't think you'll find a TV that does different.

Sorry to say but, you'll have to upgrade the amplifier that has all the HDMI ports and more digital coaxial inputs.

TV is acting like a filter on the 5.1 signal. Best to plug all your sources into the amplifier first, then use the output on the amplifier to the TV. This is the only way to get dolby 5.1 on everything.

No sound from plasma to home theatre

First off it's always best to start from scratch when it comes to home audio. LoL. Many times I've been in this situation.
So with everything disconnected. You should have your HDMI, COMPONENT, RCA(R,W,Y)
HDMI and COMPONENT are the exact same thing and in all preference COMPONENT is far better thand HDMI for the pure fact that each wire is in it's own casing and insualted to avoid feedback from the other wires.
Anyways, with everything disconnected we begin
From you Cable/satellite box- Run your HDMI cable from you cable box to your HDMI 1 input on your tv.(If your speakers were to work on your tv you would automaticaly get sound and picture)
That should be all that you should be running from you cable box. Now that we have one thing running we go to the next thing.
From your TV run your audio out (RCA Red/White) to your amp. Usually your preference but more than likely your TV IN on your amp.
With your amp now set on TV, you should automatically get sound from your tv. and if your running an HD cable box even though your only running RED/WHITE to your amp, you will still be receiving Digital sound.
Most new amps Should have a digital input and if your running and 1080iUp this one RCA plugin will give you dolby digital sound from your dvd player to your amp. Then running a video rca up to your tv, will give you the picture, while the digital out on your dvd player to your amp will give you dolby digital sound.

It's a basic simple step to get sound. Like a continuing current. So just as long as you have your cable to -- tv -- home theatre. Everything should work. Otherwise I would go and check your cables and make sure they are not faulty.
I hope this confusing walkthrough helps.
