Have the Kodak Easyshare V803

Have the Kodak Easyshare V803 - has been fantastic over the last year - went to use it yesterday, took a few pics and the camera stuck couldn't do anything with it, and it got red hot. Took battery out etc, then tried to re-use it later when it cooled down. Now when I try it switches on briefly and the lense comes out a bit (not as far as it should) but then it suddenly switches off again....any ideas?
