My sansa starts but then the screen fades and then it starts up again and then the screen will go black or will have little white lines on it and they move. but then i put a micro sd card in it and then it will start up and then it will say refreshing database amd then the screen will fade and then it will start up but then the screen will turn purple. The best results that I have had were to hold the power button
for about 15 seconds. ( if you only hold it for 3 seconds it goes
into sleep mode). This shuts the device off. Then restart
it.
