Saeco Odea Giro alarm light on all the time and temp light off

Hi.  Is there a way to check the water sensor or to fix it?  We are in Canada and the Saeco people said they will not honor the warranty on a machine that was bought in the US.  Any ideas?  Thanks

Ok.  Day 2 now.  It all worked fine this morning.  The owner says it is an intermittent thing.  Everything was well in its place when it would not work. I did not do anything to it between yesterday and today.  When the red light came on we could hear little noises coming from the inside but that was it and for a very short time.  There was no water going in or out either.  Thanks.

I have the Saeco Odea Giro Espresso Maker. I have used it 5 times. Today I turned it on and it ran its rinse OK. Then while it was on I decided to check the water tank. When I put it back in the red warning light was on. It won't do anything now. I turned it off and checked the brew group and waste box. I pulled the water tank out and put it back again. The red warning light is still on. I primed the water again. It really didn't put out much water. Its dead.

Buy small neodynium magnets on amazon and tape one to where the magnet is on the discard box. It will trick the machine into thinking that the water tank is in place. I think it has to do with the sensor that tells the machine that the water tank is in place.

Hi,

Make sure everything is fitted in place, there are several sensors that can bring the lamp to light. I have not heard that the water sensor is gone on Odea machine.

Can the machine run the selftest and can you see any water come out?

The problem is with the flow meter which is a turbine unit that is installed before the pump.Either there is a blockage or the unit is bad.Have to open the machine to get into it.

My Saeco Odea Giro has the element light permanently on (not flashing) and the strength light is set to 3, I cannot change it. I have tried descaling, cleaning etc. Any ideas?

The element light is saying it,s time to descale. Since you have done that you can remove it by holding down the water button for a few seconds until it goes off.The strenght light?.checked whether it is not sticking.

Machine stoppped working

Try this remove the brew unit and clean the screen on the unit, then insert unit, and open steam/hot water valve to prime. If that does not work then there might be a malfunction with the pump, I am assuming that the machine is only 2 weeks old?

Saeco Odea Giro highlights the "!" light and wont spurt water.

Try this open the steam knob for about 5 seconds then turn it to the rest(off) position, make sure that it is in the off position.

Saeco Odea Giro - alarm light continually slow flashing

I had the same problem. I filled everything up and closed it then took the hopper top and placed a small magnet that fit the circumference of the hopper sensor (I took one off of a refrigerator magnet and it fit down into the sensor) and it immediately went green. Hope it works for you.

Red alarm flashing

The flashing indicator light means something needs to be refilled or emptied.

Red alarm light permanently on!

Hi.
First turnthe machine on.
Then take out everything watertank, dreg draw and brewingunit and have the door opened to the brewing area.

have them out for about 1 minute and then put it back together again.
if this dosent help please check if the machine respond to removing the dregdraw, beanlid.

It will do it by making the constant red ligth flash instead.

if they respond make sure that the watertank is filled to max.
if that is the case it is the watertank sensor that is broken.
