I have completed all licenses with a bronze or higher, & have completed 80% of the game, & game will not allow me to make any adjustments to individual gears on any of my cars with a fully customizable transmission? Do I have a bad copy of the game, or problem with the ps3 itself? Everything else seems to be working just fine. Any advise? Thanks!

The PATA interface was originally designed as a 40-pin system and still is. The ribbon cables were originally 40-wire cables. A special type of cable with 80 wires was then created to improve data throughput rates. Note that the number of pins remains 40, with a special type of ribbon connector connecting ground to 40 wires internally. The ground connections are placed between each of the data carriers to reduce cross-talk and allow up to 3 times faster operation. ATA33 is supported by 40-wire connection, ATA66 & ATA100 require 80-wire. Motherboards can check the speed of the data throughput to determine if a 80-pin cable is being used. Some BIOS setup options allow for this feature to be turned off. The HDD or DVD must support ATA66 or higher to work at the higher speed of a 80-wire cable.If you connect a slow hard disk or DVD drive on the same ribbon as a fast hard disk then the system will default to the slower speed. You also need to make sure the master and slave are connected to the correct connectors on the cable.
Firstly try each drive separately to see if the 80-pin error goes away.
Rather than master/slave on one cable, try each hard drive as a master on separate cables (IDE1 & IDE2).
Secondly, the boot partition may have corrupt data preventing boot. You should check both hard drives for errors by connecting to another PC if possible. This would also allow you to back up any important files so that you can re-install the operating system if required.

You can check temps in your BIOS. That'll tell you if it's an overheating issue.

If temps are normal, suspect a problem PSU or even other hardware. My first guess would be overheating though.
You can check for shorts on the board or bad capacitors. But these are pretty classic symptoms of an electrical or overheating problem. Your temperatures aren't indicating overheating, so there's something funky with the electrical/power system.

The fact that it shuts down with a higher performance mode to me would indicate faulty power.

It sort of seems to me that either you have two bad PSUs (unlikely but entirely possible) or you have a motherboard problem. Replacing a power supply is both cheaper and easier than replacing a motherboard. Now, if you get a third PSU and you're still having the same problems it might be time to look at the motherboard and it's components.

well start with. turn your hi pass completely off. Turn your bass boost completely off. Turn your input gain copletely down. and turn your cd player to about 3/4 of what you listen to it at. Then turn your input up until it starts to sound a little dirty(distortion) then turn it down a notch. set it at a 80 herz filter so it allows nothing over 80 herz to come through. I just installed one of these jl amps a week ago. 1400.1 and it made two kicker cvt's sound amazing just have to set it just exactly like i told you. it will hit tight as hell and loud and it will hit all frequencies way better.

It's probably best to allow the amp that is powering the subs to control the frequencies going to the sub(s). I would not use the lpf on both the head unit and the amp in any case. The control settings are not completely precise and you could end up with a lot of tweaking between the units to get the sound you want. I'd send full range to the amp and with it playing something with a lot of bass, set the 401s to "LP", the crossover slope to near maximum, and then adjust the frequency until it sounded best to me. Starting on page 11 of your manual are the Rockford-Fosgate recommended adjustment procedures, including setting the gains and the filter frequency.

Those numbers for the lpf on your head unit sounds like it allows you to decrease (-24dB), as well as increase (+6dB) the bass at the specific frequencies of 50, 63, 80 and 100Hz. You probably don't want to decrease the bass boost for subs. And the 401s will allow a boost up to 12dB and is variable from 50-250Hz.
