Hello, please can you help me i have a lenovo thinkcentre m57p 9196 and i am wanting to upgrade my power supply to either 350w or 400w, does anyone know what type of supply would i need for this unit

The best way to get a new switch mode power supply is to remove the existing power supply and take it to the computer shop. You can see the various types of connectors on the existing power supply, just select a 350W or 400W power supply with the same type of power connectors as your existing power supply.

If you have a digital tester or analog try to check the voltage reading from the power supply if high or low or no supply.Check first following voltage location and section. * Check the AC voltage from ac cord to fuse and before the bridge type diode. * Check the DC voltage after the bridge type diode.if normal voltage. * Then check the voltage into the filter capacitor to regulator ic.the power ic.If theres a input voltage in the power ic,check the output voltage going to harizontal output. If no output the problem is you power output. You need to replace it.

This type of fault cannot be determined without opening the TV and examining the power supply. Bad capacitors often have tops which have become curved or domed instead of being flat. The actual type of capacitor is written on the capacitor. These capacitors can be located in difficult to access places on the power supply and it should only be repaired by an electronics professional.

Battary is not chage its not working

What happens on almost all laptops is that either a: the solder breaks from the constant wiggling of the power plug in the socket causing the socket to become loose and not get a good connection, or b: the power supply module (the little box thing attached to the cord ) goes out, usually because people leave their laptop plugged in all the time, and it was never designed for long term constant use
The cord is only meant for charging the battery, or as a temporary power aupply in the event your battery should give out on you.

How do u fix the power protect

  1. Step 1 Determine the type and voltage of your power supply. The easiest place to locate this is looking on the back of the power supply installed in your computer. There should be a sticker which gives information about the supply. If you don't see it there, then check your computer manual. You should also be able to find it online at your computer manufacturer's website.
  2. Step 2 Purchase the appropriate power supply online or at a nearby computer store.
  3. Step 3 Unplug your computer. Detach any USB-connected devices, printers, monitors, etc.
  4. Step 4 Open the computer case with the screwdriver. Remove the screws and set them aside.
  5. Step 5 Ground yourself by touching a large metal object. This will dissipate static electricity in your body which can damage electronic components.
  6. Step 6 Locate the power supply. It is usually near the rear of the case, where the plug enters the machine.
  7. Step 7 Unplug the power supply from the motherboard and peripherals. The power cables are usually multicolored and fit into the various drives and other internal devices by means of a socket at the end of the power cable. The power cable attached to the motherboard is usually secured with some type of tab that you have to press before pulling on the socket.
  8. Step 8 Unscrew the power supply from the case. Check the back of the case for a series of screws in the vicinity of the power plug and unscrew them. That should release the power supply.
  9. Step 9 Remove the power supply from the case.
  10. Step 10 Insert the new power supply and screw into place.
  11. Step 11 Plug the power supply back into the motherboard. Attach the drives and peripherals.
  12. Step 12 Replace the case cover and screw this back on.
  13. Step 13 Plug in the computer and reattach any external devices (hard drives, printers, etc) and monitors.
  14. Step 14 Start your computer. It should boot into the operating system as normal.

The stand by light is red, but can not get the tvo to turn "on"

that need to trace technically parts by parts, stand by power is separate from entire ckt supply. you need first to check if power supply ckt are work, going up to horizontal and vertical ckt area. locate what parts burn of open. specially fuse type resistor.

I need an owners manual

Your best bet is to search the Philips website.

I note that the American website contains more products listed than does the Australian site.

I have located a 300W Power Inverter however, it is a US2-GGE819.

If it is an older stocked item, then you would need to use the Contact section of the website to contact Philips to obtain a copy of the manual.

TO SEARCH the Philips SITE do the following:

1. Copy and Paste the following link to navigate directly to the US site:

2. Type the product description ie., power invert. Press <enter>
3. Read through the list of products to locate yours.

I hope this helps. Regards,
