Coffee bean does not work too well. It does not grind "fine" enough leaving coffee very light.

Depending on how old it is it can be the grinder blades that is getting bad.

Bean hopper is full, machine starts to grind the coffee but right before it starts to pull the shot, it stops & says "add beans to hopper".

the add beans to hopper signal most likely is triggered by the machine not sensing enough load put on the grinder (hence it thinks its out of beans) , this most likely is set by the grind (fine/course ) id say the grind is set to an improper size and the automatic sensor is picking up on that
another thing is the coffee / if its way too moist and not dry enough then its also going to trip the sensor as well

Saeco primera ring, will not grind coffee, high piched sound as if there are no coffee beans to grind. Its also indicates out of coffee and of course there is coffee bean the hopper in it.

Sounds like the grind is too fine and the beans are not able to get to the burrs, try adjusting 2-3 numbers coarser. Remember only adjust when the grinder is running.

Hi...Keep on grinding until the Auto Dosing System readjust the amount of grind to be in the optimum. Normally it takes 3 to 4 grinds. Whenever we change the type of beans, this condition happens, it is not a problem.

Beans grind, but nothing comes out. says it's out of coffee. works fine with the "pre-ground" setting. Fairly new machine.

Hi
First try turning the big knob in the bean hopper to 18, then the small knob to the minus -. If that doesn't work you have a blockage in you grind passage. Try removing the brew group. Then inside on the roof of the machine where the brew unit was setting there is a drop chute where the coffee is dropped into the brew unit. From the left side of the drop chute pull down and back, and it will drop coffee. This will clear an opening that relieves pressure on the passage. There is a passage inside the drop chute area that goes to the grinder. Vacuum it out. It will be on the backside of the drop chute.
Once that is cleared go to the bean hopper. There are 2 knobs in the bean hopper. Turn the large knob to the largest number. You can turn the knob to a larger number any time but it has to be grinding to turn to a smaller number. Now replace everything and make your coffee. Once you have made your coffee you can turn the knob back to a number that was higher than the one you had it on before, but only when the grinder is running. Turn the small knob up to the + then back 1 mark for a strong coffee.

This is what it looks like when it says out of beans and there are beans in the hopper bansheracer_12.jpg

My Saeco Vienna Black Automatica Espresso maker will grind coffee only about one-fourth of the time. Other times, it makes whirring sound and then shuts off and red "coffee bean" light comes on.

Your grind is to fine. Turn the big knob in the bean hopper up 4 clicks and try again. It could be oily beans which would require the same solution.

Red warning light comes on in my saeco vienna deluxe I just aquired this unit and to date have not been able to make a cup of coffee. All the green lights light up and coffee starts grinding but after that...

Hi
More than likely your grind is to fine and you are using oily beans (shiney). There is a small knob in the bean hopper. turn it down to the minus side. Turn the big knob to the # 18. If that doesn't work you are going to have to take the grinder apart and clean it.

Saeco Italia coffee too weak - grindes too coarse

Remove beans from chamber, then remove the 2-3 screws in the chamber, then lift hopper slightly and turn adjustment knob towards the middle number, or halfway between fine and coarse. Then lower hopper make sure the gears line up together, set screws add beans and adjust finer.
