BROTHER INTELLIFAX#2820. INSTALLED NEW TN350 TONER CARTRIDGE. TURNED-ON & LCD WINDOW READS: "DOCUMENT JAM...CLEAR SCANNER JAM; THEN PUSH STOP/EXIT BUTTON." FOLLOWED ALL TROUBLESHOOTING SUGGESTIONS. NO LUCK. MACHINE IS ABSOLUTELY "CLEAR" OF ANY JAMS ANYWHERE; YET, CANNOT SEEM TO GET FEED ROLLERS TO STOP CYCLING & LCD TO READ "CLEAR OR READY." YOUR HELP/THOUGHTS PLS. MUCH APPRECIATED.     VOODOOMOX'S SOLUTION DID NOT WORK ON MY BROTHER INTELLIFAX #2820. THE "JAM SENSOR" WAS NOT HIT; ABSOLUTELY NO PAPER; PAPER JAMS; OR STRAY PAPER CAN BE FOUND ANYWHERE IN THE UNIT. START/RE-START DID NOT WORK. REMOVING TONER/DRUM UNIT AND REINSTALLING DID NOT WORK. ANY FURTHER THOUGHTS/RECOMMENDATIONS?? THX, BICHE

Try to reinstall the software and try a hard reset: Unplug the device for about 5 minutes and try again. If that doesnt work, you have sensor problem that will have to be rectified by a servicing...

Make sure that during the changing process that your scanner glass locking mechanism got engaged.

    It could the cartridge is jammed. If you take it out and rotate the gear by hand, does the drum move freely?

As per your description, it is possible that after placing the new cartridge you may have triggered a jam sensor, try to remove the cartridge, clear all possible obstacle, then put it back in, even a small piece of paper can cause an error message so be on lookout for such too.

Please check rear door area for paper, can you use manual feed slot? Power off machine with all jams removed and paper loaded, then power on, can you tell us exact error message/lights that are shown in this state?

I have a Brother fax and copy machine and have just replaced toner with a brother TN 350 cartridge and still getting message that toner is low


You didn't include the model, but here are instructions for the Fax-2820; it should work for any of the models that use the TN-350 toner:
  1. With the power on, open the front cover.
  2. Press the Options key. The display will read "Change Drum?"
  3. Press Start.
  4. Press 1 0.
  5. The display reads "Accepted" for about 2 seconds, then change to "Cover Open."
  6. Close cover. The "Replace toner" message should be cleared.
Normally, inserting a new cartridge (with the power on) will reset the toner counter, and you won't have to do any of this.

Brother printers 2820 paper coming out fouled


Pull toner and drum cartridge out by folding front door down and seperate the toner from the drum by pressing the blue lever. re-insert the toner into the new drum. After installing the cartridge back into the printer, leave door open and press the clear button and on the LCD screen you will see for new drum press 1 for yes and 2 for no. Press the 1 button and close front door. Finished. Please rate my help if this fixed your issue. Thanks!

Brother intellifax 2820.Replaced toner cart tn350.


Remove drum unit. in front of the toner cart. there is ether a green or blue slide lever. move the slide 10-15 times back and forth. make sher the slide is all the way over to one side. reinstall drum & make a copie. hope this works.

Paper won't feed from drawer - stuck on "manual feed"


The readout on my intellifax 2820 says, Document Jam, clear the scanner jam, then press the stop key. I can't get it to clear. What should I do?

The toner cartridge is in the drum unit. push the blue lever and the toner pops out, make sure you have a toner cartridge in the drum unit. Lawrence

Brother 2820 Says clear scanner jam and press stop


Make sure there is nothing caught where the documents go it. List up the scanner cover and look inside. It may need a separator pad or clean the feed rollers with some alcohol. Lawrence
