Question about Bissell Vacuums

1 Answer

Bissell ProHeat uses way too much solution. It will empty the solution container in just a few minutes - and that's not even on the heavy traffic setting.

My formula tank is not emptying on my 8910 proheat eurka cleaner

Make sure it is on heavy traffic on the selector set. You may find it is on Clear water rinse. FYI you will find your machine will clean better and your carpet will be cleaner if you use a weed sprayer and mix your soapin it. Just spray it down fairly heavy and let it set for 10 minutes. Then just use straight water in both tanks and you will be amazed. It is like a lasagna dish if it soaks for a while it comes cleaner easier.

What is the amount of bissell cleaner to use in the pro heat machine do you have tomix with water

The ProHeat units all have a self setting system for mixing. there is a swith you select for "heavy traffic..Normal...or Water rinse" that determines how to mix itself.

here is site to get user guide for your model.

Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X Clean Shot will not let water put from tank?

I have a Proheat 2X and had the same problem. I don't know if this will work with your unit... but I tried the Water Rinse setting and found water came out and was suctioned properly, but on the Light Clean, Normal Clean, and Heavy Traffic settings, the unit failed to do anything. Problem may be with leaving the soap dispenser in-place, which might scum up the tubing.

SO, an alternative to throwing out my unit and buying something else was to put one capful of the Bissell soap in the water resevoir and keep the unit on Water Rinse. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY NOW. Don't know if this will help, but at least I didn't have to buy a new unit. Rinse everything after using and there's been no problem.

Using too much solution AND leaving dirty streaks in my carpet

The reason for it to use soloution is it may be set on heavy traffic. To fix this turn your knob labeled heavy, normal& light traffic and water rinse to either normal or light traffic. To fix the streaks when you pull the machine backward pull it super slow (you may have to do this a few times) if this dont work take it back

Bissell ClearView powersteamer carpet cleaner does not seem to be dispensing water in the pre-treat mode

Pretreating (optional)
Note: Pretreating is recommended to improve
cleaning effectiveness for heavily soiled carpet in
high traffic areas such as entryways and hallways.
A.
Spray the BISSELL Tough Stain Pre-treat formula
onto heavy traffic areas, soiled areas, or stains.
B. Allow to penetrate for at least 3 minutes.

Maybe isn't su[pposed to dispense water, just the Pre-Treat solution. Then after a few minutes, shampoo normally.

Connecting a BISSELL AUTO MIX PISTON TO A AUTO MIX KNOB

Take of the housing ,turn it over and you will see the under side of the auto mix dial , Then turn the auto mix dial to rinse only;
On the top of the piston you will see a small slot , this fits into
the out side spiral on the auto mix knob with the dial set to rinse only the top part of the spiail sould point to the courner
Tilt the piston slightly, then hook it on the point of the auto mix knob , when you turn the auto mix dial to heavy traffic the piston should slide down the outer spiral of the auto mix-dial ,
Put the housing back on with the auto mix dial set to heavy traffic, but make sure no tubes are trapped or this will stop the flow of water,
i hope you can under stand what i have wrote ,Goodluck

Bissell Proheat 2 solution tank

First make sure the solution bottle is seated correctly and the machine solution inlet is free from any debris
try the hose part of the machine,
See if water comes out of the hose ; Set the dial to heavy traffic, then put a pencil mark on the solution bottle level with the solution liquid ,
See if the solution level goes down
see if water is coming out of the spray tips under the machine
The spray tips could be blocked .
