Answer above was correct, but Belkin screwed up the US website so the links don't work. Try this instead:

Either way, you need to buy a new capture device as that one was designed for Windows 2000 and does not have a 64 bit driver.

You need 'Windows Movie Maker' or 'VideoWave' to capture and edit video.

The Complete user manual is available at the following link [500 kb]:

Read the manual and then install the Drivers and Hardware.

How do I get vhs video onto my computer?

You need a TV capture card... the package includes connectors for VHS & other DV cameras, you also need of course a VHS player..

While the VHS player is playing your VHS tape... the computer can now record it via the TV capture card.

That's what I do... goodluck and don't forget to rate...

HOW T DO I CONECT A VHS VIDEO RECORDER TO MY WINFAST TV 2000XP EXPET TV CAPTURE CARD ?

Your VHS recorder has a Coaxe output! So does your card the sound will be replicated there as well, now it would not hurt to get a capture card that has those plugs as you rendering would be much more prestine. Pluag you VHS into the coaxe input on your card set the channel to 3 and you got it bud!!!

I can capture video into FINAL CUT from VHS deck via ADVC-300, but there is no audio. Is this common?

it should not be. Are you getting audio signal levels on the ADVC-300? I think it may be a connection problem. I always get audio from vhs, even through a camera or hdv deck. Never mind a converter box.

0.008 seconds - no capture, no preview.

Going to the Pinnacle support part of their website in downloads and downloading the latest drivers for the relevant model number worked for me.

Vhs pal video not working

Change the DIP switch to PAL, unplug the unit (no power), then plug it back in. You need to power-cycle the unit to after changing DIP switch settings.

Also make sure that your capture application is set to PAL mode, if there is a NTSC/PAL setting.
