Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
The 'Normal' cycle lights come on and it displays 44 minutes, but it won't start or switch to another cycle or cancel. It's just frozen there.
The problem is with the touch control assembly. It is simple to replace yourself (20min). You can get one through appliancepartspros.com for $109.00 + tax/shipping. Do not call whirlpool. Their price? a whopping $332.00!

I have this machine, and it has had some issues. The sheet used by repairmen is located behind the front cover. To get to it you have to remove the Whirlpool emblem from the front of hte machine. These will just reattach if that happens. The sheet is taped to the front in a plastic bag. You will find diagnostic codes and a bunch of other stuff that make troubleshooting this machine easier. Good luck. I hope this helps.
