Question about Sony CDX-F5510 CD Player
When I hook up my portable MP3 player to this unit it will only play on the front speakers and not front and rear. Checked balance and fade and continues to only play on the front two speakers. Using same wires I use from same use on other stereo auxillaries.
SOURCE: sony cdx mp40 bus audio in
ok dont know if you will check up on this but fm transmitters are all garbage. for true undistorted sound go to an electronics store and ask for a rca to headphone cable. then just hook it up to the rca input and run the cable out of either the unit or somewhere on the dash. this will alow for a true connection and if you buy a brand name cable i.e. monster, radioshack, sony etc. should sound amazing. always happy to help.

The multichanger has to be connected, with a cd in, but then the head unit will play whatever is fed to the bus in sockets. This effectively means the multichanger is playing to itself. If you want both to work, use a pair of piggy back rca leads into the head unit, one to the cd, one to the mp3. Then break into the cd leads and feed one of the pairs, one +ve, one -ve to a double pole switch so that you cut the sound from the cd allowing the mp3 in. To play cd's, flick the switch.

Do you have the remote turn on lead hooked up to solid blue wire from the back of the deck? Your amp shoild be hooked up to Bluw w/ white strip as the solid blue wire shuts off when the tuner is off, its used only for the power antenna.
Use Blu w/ Wht strip for amps
