Plug your camera into your computer and off-load the images from the card, then delete the images from the card after making sure you can access all your pictures from your computer.

How do I turn off write protection on a GE A730 digital camera

Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

When using a new memory card, or a memory card has been initialized by a PC, be sure to format the card with your digital camera before using it. How do you do this

Insert the card and turn on the camera. Go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. This will erase the card so if it contains any pictures you want to save, download them first.

This seems like it may be an easy one for you. When turning on my camera it states on the screen "internal memory full" and I am unable to take pictures. It is an 5x optical zoom, 12 megapixels. Thanks.

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to delete the pics from the internal memory. Now, insert your memory card and it should work.

It keeps on taking pictures over and over!

Hello totzz:
It seems that this camera may have a stuck button or a shorted circuit.
See if you can get to any menu options. Reset all, if you can. Then test it.

Battery exhausted warning

Hello justplainles:

Do the others show the same problem?

Try this: RESET ALL in the menu or setup menu.
If that does not work, make sure that the in the menu (if it is there) you set the battery type to rechargeable not alkaline .
You may try alkaline batteries, if it does the same, the camera may need repair.

Some cameras will not set the battery type automatically.

Mode dial turns, but does not change modes.

The camera is defective. Call 800 730 6597. Btw, if there is a memory card in it, try it without and see if the problem still exists.

Memory card unreadable?

It is the card. Exchange the card at the store.
