The ccd chip replacement

Where did you purchase the new chip? I can't find it online. And exactly how did you replace it? Are there step-by-step instructions somewhere online?

I did not find any step by step instructions. I just took my time and took it apart. I got A schematic from here http://www.eserviceinfo.com/
enter the scd103 in search. You have to download
"ALL THE FILES" first, There are 9 files in which you have to get.
As for buying the CCD chip, I have not rally searched into buying one. As I bought A scd103 and A scd107 off E-Bay and put the 107 CCD chip into the 103. I can look around to help you find the chip.
Hope this helps.
