Hi if you are comfortable opening the tower try to pull the Hard drive out and all memory except one. If you have an extra stick, swap the memory around the see if it will turn on. Bad memory and Hard drives can cause these problems. Not likely Hard drive because it shouldn't get "stuck" on the sony logo screen. If it is none of those worked , then your MB (Motherboard is bad) or processor is bad.
(if its under warranty ) i recommend you call Sony support to service /replace the broken part.

I changed my os from windows xp to windows 7...and i am using amd sempron (tm) processor 3400+ 1.80ghz..and 40 g hard disk..then the windows start up wont start normally. pls help!
Try hitting F8 just after your bios splash screen, before it would show the windows logo.
Select, boot in safe mode with networking.
Once you are in windows 7 safe mode, you can install any required drivers. This might prevent it from hanging on the next normal boot.

You can type in the run dialog CMD. This will open a command terminal. Type "SFC /scannow" without the quotes. This will tell windows to verify it's files. Let it complete, then reboot normally. Hopefully the problem will be resolved!

W595 hangs up in logo
You got it right for updating the phone software. I appreciate it. But you need another thing. You also need to upgrade the phone firmware. The Out-Dated Firmware is causing the phone not to start and hang up. Try updating using the PC Suite of the phone. It will restore the functioning of the mobile.

You can try also to do reformat your hard drive as fresh unallocated one before doing formatting again to install windows. And check your installation disk for scratches.
