Unplug the oven, open the panel (by removing the 2 screws) above the lock handle. Clean it out. Sometimes mice can get in there and move insulation, etc. and if anything gets in between the lever and the micro switch it will make the oven think that it is locked. If it is clean, push the lever back and forth and listen for a clicking noise. If it doesn't click you need a new micro switch. I just had a similar problem and Tom at quality@applianceeducator.com helped me fix mine. Hope this helps you!

Replaced the LCD pad computer. getting a LOC rEF code. What does it mean or how do I clear it?

If this is a GE oven:
1. Make sure power to the wall oven is turned off_
2. Completely close the wall oven control panel and return the wall oven to its normal installation_
3. Apply power to the wall oven. Accessing the control panel area but not replacing the control:
4. Enter Special Functions mode by pressing the BAKE and BROIL keys at the same time.
5. Reset the control by pressing the 9 and 0 or the HOUR DOWN and MINUTE DOWN keys for 3 seconds at the same time.
6. Approximately 20 seconds after the time of day is displayed. press the 1 and 5 or the TEMP LIP and MINUTE UP keys. The control should briefly go blank, briefly display all segments. briefly 'display "LOC FIEF," display all segments for 30 seconds, and then display "LOC REF:"
7. Acknowledge the "LOC REF" command by pressing the 6 and 8 or the HOUR DOWN and MINUTE UP keys at the same time. The control should then display the time of day,
8. The oven should be ready for normal operation.
9. Test the functionality of the glass touch contra especially the CLEAR/OFF and/or CANCEL key(s)..

CONTROL PANEL FOR OVEN NOT WORKING AT ALL

Hi - I understand that the burners work, however I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another question, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. Then a beep will sound and LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Does the clock display "Sd" or "dddd"? If so, the clock is in sales demo mode. Press and hold the "BAKE TIME" button for 6 seconds to exit sales demo mode. If this does not prove to be successful, contact a professional to have EOC diagnosed, confirm that there isn't a wiring failure or a faulty element.

Hello Le'Cinda Rhone - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Hi, based on what you describe I'll need to start by first suggest checking the settings regarding the option button's on the clock/timer. Do you by chance have the owner's manual for a reference ? If not we can try this. Is there any of the button's that have a "padlock" or "key" symbol below them or near them ? If so try pushing and holding this button for approx 5 seconds. It may turn out the control has inadvertently been entered into a "lock functions" mode/setting. If this is the case, once the lock mode is exited you should then be able to push the cancel button to reset the power failure (PF) display and move forward. Let me know if successful or not. If not it more than likely is an issue within the timer itself. I will watch for your reply. Good luck. Macmarkus :)
