By your description it is a high voltage problem, the horizontal output transistor is probably shorted and is loading the set down which would explain the constant clicking it is making. To repair this will more than likely run what you paid for the tv. But! if you decide to go ahead with the repair then an estimate would be in order because there may be other issues. My personal feeling would be to quit while you are ahead.
Maybe you have a bad remote and is sending change channel constantly to tv each time it starts up, possibly. I would try taking battery out of remote, and unplug tv for a half minute encase it has some memory chip holding a bad or mistaken setting too. Start it up again. Sound makes it seam remote-like to me, otherwise no ideas. I once fixed an older lcd tv from no picture, it had been dropped, a metal support piece came lose inside (rattle sound from there) and shorted a circuit board, but luckily it just blew a fuse that was inside the case near the chord connection. Threw metal brace away and installed fuse, works great.
