If you have used various computers with different OS's and you still cannot get any to recognize the printer, then it would appear that the printer electronics are fubar.
U might check with Ricoh but ......................
Go get the firmware from the ricoh site. Get the rfu file if you are doing it remotely eg. from your laptop or PC. Just make sure nobody is using the printer while you are doing it.
After turn the main switch off and on the error appears again???? This error means that there is a bad comunication between the controller board and the operation panel.
Did you intervew in the machine? Some tecnical intervewing?
first u have to purchase feature expantion or GW board from ricoh if it has been already installed in d machine just download the rpcs driver from www.ricoh.com
and install to ur pc
You may need to purchase the PostScript card to do that, generally the Ricoh's don't comunicate with Macs without it, Your local Ricoh dealer should have a "Print Scan" qualified tech that could help you out. I could try to talk you through it, but I don't think this web site has enough space to type it out.
I believe the copier only has a tcp/ip port for connection, so you will still need to run it through a router, or if the PC is not on the internet, you can connect the machine directly to the ethernet port on your pc using a 'crossover' cable You will need to download the Vista driver from Ricoh Here:
Did the donner copier have a finisher on it? The code means a miss comunication with the finisher. There is a HD that is used with a finisher. The meter count can not be changed that I know of......The reason it shows 000000 is that the battery was disconnected from the eprom.
You need a software called "Scanrouter V2 lite", which is actually no longer available on the Ricoh download page for some reason. However it is quite difficult to configure, if you have not used it before. You will probably need to contact a Ricoh service department.
Hope you have a printer controller type 270 installed on your Aficio 220, already.
It can be connected with a parallel cable or ethernet cable if you have a network card installed in the printer controller of the Aficio 220.
