If you can confirm that the "always on" 12v is connected to the deck properly and the turn-on lead for the deck is tied into either the ignition or is always tied to 12v, the only other thing I can think of is an issue internal to the deck itself. Usually, though, it's the wiring that gets people. Normally, you don't connect switched 12v to the deck, as it doesn't always have enough current to run it. I wish I could be more help! If there was an error code being displayed, that might be different.

A blown fuse on the +12V? It's odd that the deck would do anything at all with a blown fuse on the always-on +12V. But glad it's fixed, nonetheless!

My cds won't play and they will not eject. I have an in-trunk cd changer.

If your radio works and you press mode .Does head unit recognize cd,s
It should display no cd,s cd error etc
The reason i ask this is to confirm that connection is ok to stacker
To eject PRESS AND HOLD eject button, insert credit card under cartridge, push fully in and move left/right untill eject
This will locate micro switch,so you can check discs

Cd player in ford expedition quit showing CD

If you can not eject cartridge
Press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge.Push firmly in and move left to right untill it ejects, this will locate micro switch.
The fuse is located on the back of the stacker, this is ok because your head unit recognizes stacker.

Condensation please wait constantly appears on the screen unable to do anything the camera seems to shut itself down it wont even let me load a tape in.it wont record playback nothing.

There is a "dew" sensor inside that is preventing the unit from accepting the tape. This is a safety feature to prevent damage to the tape. If there is any moisture inside, the tape will stick to the heads and get damaged. Open up the unit (eject) and point a hair dryer toward the opening with the dryer about 12" away. Let the warm air flow for 10 minutes or so and try the camera again. If that failes to resolve the problem, then either the sensor is defective or the connections to it are defective and the camera should see a servicer for repair.

Good luck,
Dan

Bose 6 cd changer factory installed will not function.

Some people with this issue have had some sucess disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the stereo. After re-connecting the battery, the stereo should reset and the error message should clear at which point the CD player should also function. Apart from this, a service call at a dealer or a car stereo repair specialist are the only alternatives. Best of luck.

The head unit should have two separate +12V connections: One that goes to a switched 12V power that is switched on/off via the ignition and one that is always energized at +12V. If the head unit's switched +12V lead is not connected, the unit will not turn on (except for when +12V is first applied to the "always on" lead, in which case it will immediately eject the CD). Please respond if this is not the issue. Hope this helps!

CD Player will not load/accept cds!

I have had mine for 3yrs and it just smoked last night(12/04-03/08). I had it in one of my demo cars to prove a point. That a properly installed and maintained budget system is possible and will outlast and out perform many Well Know brands. I have 3 show cars for my shop one budget(montero), mid level price point(dodge stealth r/t) and a full blown w/ ppi amps, mb quart speakers eclipse devices(bmw m3)
The PPI amps have smoked several times, to the point that I no longer carry PPI. My point being that no matter what you buy there is a good chance it will breakdown w/o routine cleaning and care.
