What are the syptoms for a cmos battery going dead?

not much really just wont save BIOS credentials usually. Sometimes youll get factory reset without having changed anything in the bios (meaning date and time might reset to factory settings). A bios battery you can get at walmart for cheap and they last forever it seems. A bigger problem to worry about is it could be a powersupply problem.

My Toshiba Satellite p15-S470 Laptop lost date and time after shutdown. When i start my laptop it will not proper on and show orange light, after closing and out battery from laptop 2 to 3 time then it is...

try accessing your bios on your laptop and change the date on it. To access the bios just press F2 or F10 once you press the power button. Once you are inside of the bios locate the settings for date and time, then that's the time you can change and save it before you exit.
Hope it helps thanks.

Blue screen on acer extensa 5630 laptop it says its my intel display driver

Try rebooting the computer in safe mode with networking...this is usually done by tapping the F8 key while the manufacturers splash screen shows up for a few seconds. Once the multi-boot screen comes up scroll to safe mode with networking and click ok. Once the computer boots up, it will probably be using a generic video driver to show a picture, go to acer's support site and download a fresh driver, the link is below....good luck. when you click the link, make sure you pick what operating system you are using to get the correct driver. click on drivers > notebook > aspire > 5630 > choose operating system.

Not keeping time

Go into the BIOS by pressing F2 when you first turn on the laptop. In the main screen you should be able to change the time and date. After you do that save the changes and exit and go into windows and see if the date and time is current.

Let me know how it goes.

Fit Keyboard to Acer Aspire 5630 Laptop

When you remove the old keyboard you can place the new one down and the cable should fall in the vicinity of the connector. Most laptop ribbon cables have a little plastic piece that you pull up to make inserting the end of the ribbon cable easier, When you insert the cable sometimes this piece goes down with it other times you have to "snap" it back in place. A word of caution, when pulling up on this piece it should not come off but just come up and a little off to the front or back. I sometimes have to use needle-nose pliers to get it in, but be gentle!

I need to restore my acer laptop to factory settings.

use windows restore. restore pc back to a date near when you brought it. or before you start having problems. remember you will lose data you save after that date, so back up want you want to save on cd before you restore.

Go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore to bring up the screen in Figure 1. Click the System Restore Settings link on the left side of the screen.
