I have a brand new LG 26LD350 that won't power on. It's not my outlet, I checked it with another appliance. Could it be something as simple as a bad power cord?

The HDMI sound setup can be set to send the digital audio through the HDMI cable or to send the analog audio through the analog audio line out and receive through the analog audio line input (Green mini stereo phone jack on the PC and on the TV)
So you have to look at the TV HDMI sound setup to see how the audio signal will be handled, same thing for your PC HDMI sound set up.

Hello

Plug the microwave into the outlet if the microwave won't power up. Make sure the plugs on the microwave match the type of outlet. A four-pronged outlet can only be used with a four-pronged plug. Same with three-pronged outlets---they only work with three-pronged plugs.

Inspect the plug. Make sure it hasn't been cut or tampered with. Four-pronged plugs can't be cut down to fit a three-pronged outlet. Three-pronged plugs mustn't be forced into four-pronged outlets. A three-pronged plug mustn't be used in a two-pronged outlet, either.

Replace blown fuses, or if there's a circuit breaker, check it for tripped breakers. Sometimes the trip won't be obvious, so cycle the circuit breakers. Turn them all the way off and then back on again.

Plug another appliance in the outlet. You will find this easier with three-pronged appliances. Simply plug a toaster, or other appliance into the microwave's outlet, and see if it works. If it works, you know the problem is with the microwave, not the power circuit. Have the microwave serviced or replace it. If the toaster or other appliance doesn't turn on, you know the problem is with the circuit.

I have LG 26LCD TV. I am unable to see the display when i turn on the TV. Sound is fine. Same happens when i connect TV through HDMI/RGB port. Is LCD panel faulty? How much will be the repairing cost for...

sounds like a faulty lcd panel but you will be suprised how many we used to get back where it was something simple like the wires not being connected to the power supply for the screen. the lcd panel is very expensive to replace, nearly as much as the tv itself.

Hi, i just purchased two LG LCD TV's the 26LD350 and the 32LD350 I'm worried that it does not have an off switch and only goes on to standby mode. you here alot about tv"s catching on fire because of this....

I have never heard of any LG TVs having a fire issue.
LG added this switch to help save electricity. "Going Green".
You see, this On/Off switch was added to kill the power to the TV when not in use. This switch stops the TV from consuming power by not giving it power to be in a “Stand-By” mode.
If your TV does not have this switch, you could simply unplug your TV to give you the added satisfaction it won’t catch fire.
I hope this information has helped.
Good Luck.

Won't power on! is this something simple or do i have to move on ?

if won´t power on manually or using remote control, may be you have an power supply or horizontal output trouble, first check that your outlet is powered with something, use an radio for example.

Microwave dead

First, there is an outlet. Plug in something else. Inside the key panel, there are fuses and a thermo sensor. Either may be bad. The thermosensor is about the diameter of a dime, black and 3/8 inch thick...attached to the wall of the chamber. All should have continuity.
