Cant get pictures off of jump drive to the elna 8600 machine when I put the card in the machine it does not read any of the pictures that I put on it when connected to computer

Hi atrahan...
Go to "My Computer" and double left click it...
Look for "Devices with removable storage"...your jump drive should be listed there.
Click on the jump drive and it will open to show your pictures, then you can hightlight the pictures and drag and drop them to your desktop or file that you want.

Saving a web page into a lexar jump drive.

To save a web page in Internet Explorer, go to that page and click File, then "Save As." In the box that pops up, use the My Computer link on the left to navigate to where your jump drive is, or click the down arrow next to the current folder at the top of the box. Once you've gotten to your jump drive and selected it, click the drop down box next to "Save as type" at the bottom of the box and choose "Webpage, complete." Then click Save.

To save a web page in Firefox, go to the page you want to save, and under the File menu, choose "Save Page As." When the dialog box comes up, click My Computer on the left, or click the arrow at the top next to the current folder, and navigate to your jump drive. "Web page, complete" should be the default selection for "Save as type" -- if it's not, select it from the drop down box. Then click Save.

Web pages typically save as many files within a folder, so if you accidentally delete or move any of those files, reloading the web page might not work.

Engine does not turn. Car wont jump start

If your battery has a short it will not jump unless you clip the ground cable to the engine or something iron or steel. Positive on the battery negative on engine. Always do this when jumping because the car giving the jump could ruin their computer.

How to upload pictures by my usb

That really is a matter of if when plugged in to the USB port of the computer you are using, if computer you are using can recognize the drive.

If you are using Windows XP, check "My Computer" and you should see the Kingston USB jump drive showing as an device icon.

In Vista and Windows 7 select "Computer" and you should also see the USB jump drive listed as a device icon.

If you are using a Mac OS X computer with your Kingston jump drive, providing the drive has been formatted with the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format, or the MS-DOS format (which is readable on both Mac and PC platforms), it will show up
in the Finder sidebar and on your Desktop.

Either platform however, to load pictures onto your Kingston is easy, all you have to do is either copy the pictures from there respective folder or location and either right click on the Kingston 2GB HD icon and paste the pictures.

Or you can double click on the Kingston 2GB USB icon and paste or drag the pictures into the open window of the Kingston 2GB USB jump drive.

That is honestly as simple as it is.

Now, on the other hand, here are a few steps, if you want to upload to an online resource which allows photo uploads from another source, namely your computer..

When you use the upload feature of that website or webpage to upload your pictures to, no matter whether you are on a Mac or PC, you simply have to click that uploader's Browse or Upload button.

Next, simply locate the Kingston 2GB USB jump drive in My Computer, (Windows XP), Computer (Vista , Win 7) or Devices and/or Desktop (Mac OS X).

Then start selecting and uploading your pictures onto that website or webpage with your Kingston as the source drive.

Yes, I have given you a number of options, but hopefully you will see the ease of using any of these methods, again depending on what computer operating system you are using, how easy it is to upload photos from your Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive.

My printer and jump over pages

I do not understand your problem. Can you provide a better failure description, please?

1) Do you mean that your printer was printing say page 5 of a 15 page document and suddenly jumper to page 14 and you are missing 9 pages of the document.

2) Your document is printing page 5 and suddenly you get 5 blank pages and then the text begins printing on page 6. No data is lost but you have 5 blank pages.

Problem 1: More than likely caused by a data flow control failure.

Problem 2: Can be a myrid of things. For example, Extral Line Feed commands accidently imbedded into the datatream, worn indexing parts allowing the motor to drive the paper up more then it is supposed.

Good day. I have enjoyed OpenOffice Writer all this time and now looks like I'll have to return to Microsoft Office because of so many difficulties encountered alongthe way while I am trying to fix 1...

The problem is simple: the hyperlinks are pointing to documents on your "original" computer, rather than pointing to documents on your portable disk-drive, or to documents on the USB memory-stick.

So, on another computer, the hyperlink still is pointing to a file (on your computer) that no longer is accessible. Thus, only a "blank" page is being displayed.

Fix the hyperlink(s), and everything will be fine.

It should hang there are refuse to disappear. what you do after this is to turn off your printer then turn it back on then restart your computer. It should be gone after that.
