It is very hard or almost imposible to use a ipod with a mac and a pc they use different formats to format the ipod.

but there a two different ways of doing it the first is using windows to format it should work on the mac and the second is install a program called xplay from www.mediafour.com this will enable your pc to read mac formated diskes and ipods

Disc not readable in this computer

Not sure if the warranty for it would cover any data retrieval so you might want to address this issue first, if it applies to your case. If not, simply RMA to the seller or manufacturer and they'll either refurbish it or exchange for a working one, depending on warranty for it. Either case, you probably don't want to void your warranty by opening the unit yourself and checking if the drive itself works and if it's just the enclosure that's problematic, so best solution would probably be contacting your nearest mac store and asking them for their advice. Best of luck!

I want to connect an LG 32LD550 television monitor to an Intel based 24" I mac computer---what cable is needed?

The LG 32LD550 television has HDMI and VGA.
Your iMac has a mini-DVI output port with support for DVI, VGA, S-video, and composite video connections via adapter.
So all you need is either:
1) mini-DVI to VGA adapter.
2) mini-DVI to HDMI adapter.

HDMI is better quality, and so I'd recommend something like this: http://www.amazon.com/PTC-Mini-DVI-Adapter-6ft-Macintosh/dp/B001H0REVK (You may want a longer cable though).

How to open bioas in MAC?

A lot of people these days appear to be under the impression that Macs have a BIOS, which is unfortunate because they actually have something much better - Macs have OpenFirmware. This is true for G4 Mac Minis, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs, eMacs, and Dual G5s…

Card stopped working... now reads 0 used- 0 available

Hello,

There are a few utilities available on the internet that may be able to recover at least some of your files, even after you tried to format. I have used this program several times to retrieve customer data from damaged memory cards. I hope this helps.

Okay...a few questions:

What version of windows are you using?

What were you doing on the computer before your internet connection was disconnected?

Do you have a spyware removal program (adaware, spybot)? if so, which one?

A few more details on:

WoW,  window defender, etc. not working...what happens when you try to run them?

which windows updates are not working? what do you mean when you say they're not working?

Sony Mavica CD400 -- can't get iMac to see mini disks

Bob: the Mac will never show what is on the disk.....and you don't hgave to finalize either. Do you have Image Capture on your units? If so, all you need to do is connect the camera via USB cable to the computer. The program will come on automatically (the camera has to be on), you can choose to download some or all of the pictures to a folder of your choice. HTH
