Have just attempted to configure this amp. I select 7.1 input, noticed the signal is set at analogue. I can't work out how to change it to digital. As a result I cant get any sound. Also when going through setup surround sound my tests only get out put from Fr Center and Fl. No sound from either rear or the Sub. These speakers all worked as I have used them in this location with a different amp. Any thoughts Please??

At first check does the amp tunes to radio stations and can you hear sound from it. Your amp has no HDMI input function. The setup may have changed to your DVD or Blu-Ray player. Without knowing the device you connected to it, it is difficult to point out the exact fault. Anyway , just try these as your amps' maual indicates.
The user manul of your set points out these reasons only for absence of sound with your amp.
Go to the signal select setup and select "Auto" there. If it is selected to AUTO mode when you input a digital signal or analogue signal, the set will detect it automatically.
check whether MUTE finction is ON. If it is ON, turn it to OFF.
Check the speaker select function.
There are two types of input for sat/cable in your amplifier. One is the Digital input and the other is the Analogue input. You didn't specified which one is currently used by you. However, if you connect the digital input then you have to configure the input assignment to digital and for analogue input configure as analogue.
If you use analogue input and input assignment is in digital mode then the problem mentioned by you can occur.
First of all check the inputassignment for sat cable. for that do the following
1. Press the menu button on the amplifier's remote.
2. Select input setup
3.select input assinment ( check the input assignment for sat/cable, If you are using the analogue
input select it as analogue,if your are using the digital input then select it as digital.
Be sure youve selected the optical output option on your ps3 (in sound options on your XMB) ... now on the back on the amp under the optical input it says CD. Select CD input using the toggle know or your remote and then on the front of the amp press the button labeled"signal select"(in between DSP select
well you must config the surrond back speaker , check in operators manual how you do-it and pag.17 to 19 . please check for
When “SB*” is selected in SPEAKERS setting mode,
the SURROUND BACK distance cannot be set.
so if you dont have check this site, who has the manual to help you how to config.
This works for all models of AV receivers when you want 901's as Front L&R speakers..
Get yourself a nice separate amp, draw the Front L&R pre-out signals from wherever you can find them. On many, there is a pre-amp out for every channel in case you want to run external amps for any channels. That is how my old Pioneer VSX-36TX is equipped. For others, you may have to borrow the signals from a typical Tape- or Adapter-Out RCA pair. Just remember, AV receivers disable digital inputs as soon as you switch in a Tape Monitor, so choose one you won't have to switch IN. The signal Out is always there regardless of the monitor state.
Patch the Active EQ directly off that point (Amp In from the receiver, Amp Out to the new amp). Run all the speaker level settings on the AV Receiver and rock on.
Make sure that the sound field/programme you have selected is dolby digital not stereo.(On the amp)
You also need to check on the display that is says DIGITAL not ANOLOUGE, as only a digital input, Optical fibre cable, HDMI, COAX will be a digital signal.
If you are using red and white rca connectors, it is not going to work, as this is an Anolouge signal.
I am getting no sound via my optical cable input. The back of the AMP says that the optical is TV/SAT but i can't change the input to digital it will only go to analog. DVD player is set to Bitstream all dvd options set to DTS, but still no sound going through. Any help would be apprecaited
