Water supply valve is at the bottom rear lhs viewed from front - ie immediately where the water is connected.
fault is also possibly due to the water bottle being frozen. bottle is in the bottom of the fridge. samsung are prone to this

Water dispenser on my Kenmore side by side refrigerator not working. It came with the house with no manual. Model number: 253.54333300 What should I do?

First check behind the fridge or in the basement that the water supply to the fridge is turned on or if it's even connected. the water is supplied by a flexible Poly 1/4 inch line. They are quite often connected to a saddle valve that straps onto your water supply pipes. That valve may be shut off. If when you press the lever in the door you can hear a "gathunk" that's the solenoid trying to open. Try the water supply first though.

My lg refrigerator lsxs26326 is dispensing water but not filling ice tray up. What could be wrong?

the water solenoid valve for the water dispenser is separate from the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . get to the icemaker water supply solenoid and test it if it works alright . unplug the fridge from wall outlet do not close water supply valve. disconnect water tube connection on the water discharge side of the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . pull - out power supply connection of the solenoid coil . connect solenoid valve directly to wall outlet. a faint click should be audible and water should come out from where the tube was removed -- from the water supply discharge side. if no water is coming out with the solenoid plug in , then the solenoid is faulty. but if water comes while solenoid is powered -on , check the position of the icemaker lever. if it is on off position icemaker timer won't activate icemaker water supply valve..move icemaker lever to on and check for water pouring into the icemaker tray' if no water comes out . change the icemaker timer. thanks.

Ice maker is producing ice but not dispensing ..filter symbol is being displayed..Any guidance would be appreciated

order a new icemaker, about 100.00 from parts company, heat element not working to help release ice. Its an easy fix and will save you a service call for 150 additional bucks. Its a matter of taking out old one. First turn off water valve to fridge. Take out old icemaker and remove electrical supply, just a squeeze and the clip should come out. Place new electrical connection, connect water supply line, turn on water line to fridge fridge, the compartment should fill and then ice in about an hour or 90 min.

Connect water

The water connection for your fridge can be found on the Left bottom rear corner. It will be a 1/4" compression connection, which most likely you already had connected to old fridge. Hope this helps

Water not working but ice is

Fridge side lower half water passes through a chiller unit which must have frozen over, this unit can be removed and defrosted , but you must turn off water supply before attempting.

Samsung side by side

This is an issue brought about by the defrost cycle. Usually, the condensate goes into a small pan under the unit where it evaporates. You will likely find that the tubes coming down from the unit to the pan underneath the box are clogged with dust. While you're there, clean the condenser coils.

Water supply

Hi Don,

Cold water supply at Fridge location. Run 1/4" tubing and connectors to match the supply valve and solenoid valve on the Fridge. Should be just one tubing connection.
If you do not have a supply at your Fridge, you can shut off your main supply and tap into the cold water line and run you a supply over to the fridge. use 1/2" PVC pipe and fittings to route over to the fridge. Get a Threaded adapter to connect a shutoff Valve. This way you have a way to keep the main supply on and hook up the Tubing from the fridge to the supply.
