N95 8GB.Problem in connecting the phone through USB cable
Hi this is mufi from dubai and i have N95 8GB(finland made).from yestarday i am not able to connect my phone to my PC through USB cable and the message comes like this..."Unable to connect through data transfer mode,mass memory is used by another application" what can be the solution please let me know.its urgent (P.C suit and other things are working proparly)

I suspect the message you're receiving is:
"Unable to Activate Data Transfer Mode. Mass memory is in use by another application."
It's likely that several applications are running in the background of your phone. I believe the N95 runs on the Symbion OS. I'm not sure how to walk you through pulling up a task manager application to manually close the running applications, but the simple answer to this problems is for you to turn your phone completely off and turn it back on again. This should close all the applications that were running in the backgound.

This error usually comes when you use usb cable to connect the phone to pc . Please try to unplug the cable and plugin the USB cable to another port and try via pc suite to connect to internet. If still it is not working try to connect on another pc via same USB cable to phone. If you are getting the same error still then this means the USB cable is damaged then change the USB cable and you can connect to PC. If USB cable works with other pc then reinstall pc suite or try connecting by creating dial up connection.
you remove your battery..there must be a tag..indicating made in finland or china...
but now a days nokia has set up there factories in china..the nokia cell phone manufactured in china are actually manufactured under the authority of nokia finland..
Usually rebooting the phone will cure this, I presume you have switched the phone off, removed the battery and restarted?
make sure in
File--> connection settings
that usb and the port you have assigned to bluetooth is enabled
(all tick boxes checked)
try deleting the device from active sync
File--> Mobile device --> (select your device)
then go to
File --> Delete mobile device
make sure you have copies of any un-synced data as it may be lost but shouldn't.
If I remember rightly (dont have a touch to hand) also delete the link to the pc in the active sync window on the touch
Menu--> options (select the server name) Menu-->Delete
and re create the profile by plugging in the device.
Disconnect the phone cable USB then open Nokia PC Suite (I presume you've got a Nokia N70) At the top of the PC Suite window go to Settings/Manage connections, tick the two bottom boxes, Serial Cable [CA 42] and USB cable, TWICE so as to highlight the Configure button.
Click OK, then follow the instructions to connect the cable to the USB then the other end to the phone.
It should now work if you're lucky, if not do a restart.
After restart connect the phone to the cable.
Give plenty of time for the icon on the PC to go green before clicking it to open PC Suite.
You will need 2 things.
Software to load on your E-125. The included Cd with your Nokia should have it.
You will need a special cable to connect Nokia to E-125. I don't know where you will find it easily.
There is a firm in Finland which makes all kinds of cables to connect different models of Cassiopeias to different models of mobile phones - essentially Siemens, Nokia & Ericsson. They run about US$ 50/=
Last time I saw their listing it was 4 pages long. You might have to do some searching on the net or contact Casio for information.
