Question about Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse

Sticky mouse Hi.. I've just recently noticed a problem with my mouse in game (world of warcraft). when i go to click something..it doesn't unclick properly..and sometimes I'll have to click things two or three times before it actually works. It is inconsistent though, sometimes it will be fine. I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers..moved mouse port close to mouse....idk what else to try. anyone else having this problem? thanks

I have had the same problems in and out of WoW. I also have the opposite issue when I click once and it double or triple clicks. Which really sucks when you're at the vendor in WoW (cost me 32G)! I tried new batteries; different types of batteries, using different USB ports for both the extension port and the USB stick; un-installing and using the standard drivers; reinstalling the entire software program. I haven't yet looked at rolling back to the prior software, but that's because I got so frustrated that I removed it and went back to my old corded BALL mouse!

I've had it for all of 4 months and I really liked the mouse before all of this. I would very much like to have a solution for this issue if there is one.

    Thanks,

    Greg B

i have the same problem..except I have it happening out of game, too. Its such a pain in the *** when you're trying to raid heal....you think you click onto the MT but really you just clicked off your current target and are spam healing yourself.

anyone have any ideas? I have also done the..switching ports/uninstalling softare/etc.

I did have ubuntu linux for a while..and the problem was less noticable - but still there.

I have the same problem in game and out of game. I tried the usual uninstalling/reinstalling/new batteries/moving mouse ports, etc.

    nothing.

its really annoying when you're trying to raid heal and you think you're clicking on the MT but really you just spam healed yourself to waste your mana.

Search for out other postings here at FixYa. The sticky situation is one I had, but it was the actual wear inside the mouse buttons to microswitch contacts. I would have to click numerous times to get my mouse to function. The plastic pads get worn after some intense use. Check for our solutions here in other postings.

I've got the exact same problem as the OP plus sometimes when im moving the mouse across the screen it slows down in random spots. Mouse works fine for a while then all the sudden gets worse and worse in game. I am not having these issues outside the game.

Mouse buttons left right switching sticky keys

Remember you can always use the keypad in place of the mouse. Try replacing the mouse with another one. If that doesn't work, it is probably something in the software. Do a scan on the system next.

My lachesis keeps blinking and wont click on anything

Check the profile button underneath the mouse, it might be pushed up under the casing or stuck in the clicked position. Use a paperclip or something pointy to wiggle it back into the unclicked position and have fun.

Logitech G15 Keyboard not detecting WoW or other games

The follwoing threads talks about your problem, with solutions posted:
http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message?board.id=hardware&thread.id=71

Basically,
  1. You need the latest WOW patch to get G15 LCD support.
  2. The applet for WOW launches at the Login screen for WOW. Until then it will not show up at all in the LCD control panel for the G15
  3. The search you did for WOW is only for the profile which does not do anything with the LCD. It only handles programming the G-Keys. When the applet launches it should display "World of Warcraft" in the LCD. Nothing about the profile launching. That's a different thing.
  4. Even though the applet for WOW is running, it may be disabled in the G15 software. To check this launch WOW and go to the login screen. Then go to the G15 LCD Control panel and make sure the box next to the WOW applet is checked.
Basically, for other software/games which don't have built-in support for the G-15, you'll need to download a custom LCD applet in order to display specific software/game info on your LCD when you launch that software/game. You can find good applet at g15forums.com.

Hope this helps

Hello, I am trying to get buttons 4 and 5 working while playing world of warcraft. I have the addon healbot and it allows me to use buttons 4 and 5 to cast. For some reason my 4 and 5 buttons dont work....

Did your mouse come with any software that lets you change settings, button abilities, etc? Like if you open the software (sometimes you can do this from the "Mouse" menu in Control Panel), there should be a page/tab where you have the choice to set what left click does, what right click does, middle click, middle scroll, etc. And if there's a button 4 and 5, you can usually set them as well. Look through the list and see if you see "Button 4" and "Button 5" options. If so, set each button appropriately. You might also have the option in your software to change the functions of those buttons depending on what program you're working in at the time. Hope I helped. =)
