Polaroid FLM-323B HDTV Loud Buzzing

When I turn on my 323B, there is a loud buzzing coming from the tv's speakers that won't go away. Currently I have the sound going to another device but I can still hear that annoying sound from the tv. Muting solves the problem but the word "muting" stays on the screen. My question is: Is there a way to disconnect the speakers internally, I don't need them...please help!

I have a Polaroid FLM-323B HD TV that has a loud whine or feedback sound coming from the speakers. When it first started, it would go away after a while, so it was a livable issue. Now it is constant.

I've tried to run the sound through my stereo and that amplifies the problem. I've also plugged a pair of headphones into the side and the problem goes to the headphones as well.

    Any suggestions ???

Or you can cut off the end of some old headphones and plug it into the side headphone jack.  works for me.

Hi.

If your happy to remove the back casing of the the TV set.

Lay set face down on table with several towells laid out flat under it.
Undo all screws holding back on & lift it off you may need to remove tv stand to remove back.

Once back is off either locate speakers & unplug the leads from them remember to insulate the loose wires & tie them up out of the way.

Or trace wires from speakers to there plugs & sockets on main Pcb & unplug them & thats it.
Screw rear of set back on & ensure volume is set low or at zero.

I have a 37" Olivia that one of the speakers emits a very harsh static. The speakers are actually turned off but this noise comes through the tv speakers anyway. I want to disconnect the tv speakers

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I have an 55 inch Emerson TV and it wouldn't come on, it make a buzzing noise. what could that be.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

This is most likely a part that has failed in power supply. If you have the time and expertise you can take it apart and troubleshoot and repair it. You need special gear and soldering ability, if you don't have the time, you can order a new power supply and put it in, you can also call for a service technician to come out. THis is not cheap to have service come out. With a television that large though, you don't have a choice. IF YOU decide to move it to a shop, you CANNOT lay it flat!! The screen will bounce like a trampoline and it will break.

Polaroid FLM 323b flickers. How to make this stop

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board . In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Not enough volume forget about using it in the car---impossible. Can anything be done to improve

I assume you're listening without headphones since I think those would be loud enough. If you don't want to use headphones, purchase a speaker case to connect to the player. It will amplify the sound. We also use it to listen to shows on the computer. This is the one we have http://www.amazon.com/CD-Case-with-Built-in-Speakers/dp/B0009824MK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256616442&sr=8-2
