Click start and type restore in the search box.
Select an earlier time to restore to, before the upgrade.
That should return the laptop to a point at which it works again.
Hope that helps.

Look in the device manager and see if your network devices are listed or have yellow triangles by them. Since you are typing this I am assuming you have a laptop to use to access the internet. Below are the drivers for your system or at least the links to the drivers. Download them onto a flash or thumb drive. Go to the device manager on your laptop and uninstall all the network adapters listed there. You can keep the drivers if it says that they are there. Reboot the laptop with the thumb drive in a usb slot. Windows will recognize the adapters and want to search for the drivers for them, let windows search first, if it doesn't see the drivers then go into "My computer" find the thumb drive, open it and manually install the adapter software drivers on the thumb drive. If you are not sure which wireless device you have, don't worry...while you are installing the software will tekk you whether it finds the device or not. There are several wireless adapters available for that laptop, so just download all the software and run it all. I would run the wired driver first, that way you can at least get connected via an ethernet cable then run windows update and get the rest of the drivers by hittong custom on the update window and looking through all the optional updates...those include all the updates for your hardware. Links are below.....You didn't specify what operating system you had, so just pick your operating system when the link comes up, it will be a drop down list on the page, then pick your driver downloads and that's it.

My laptop wont connect to the wireless internet

If your wireless can connect to your network but you can't access the internet than there is an easy fix that usually works. In most cases this is a configuration problem and not easy to track down. So, to bypass all the headache we are going to uninstall the adapter and let windows re-install it with fresh drivers. This will work better if you have the laptop connected to the internet via a ethernet cable but it's not required.

Go to control panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > scroll down to network adapters > click on the plus sign and right click on the wireless adapter and select uninstall. Make sure the box marked remove drivers is UNCHECKED. We need to make sure the drivers are not deleted. Now, reboot the computer and let windows find the hardware...it will start the re-install and may even ask if it can search windows update to check for a fresh driver...click ok and let windows do its thing. reboot and when booted, try to connect to the internet.

Wireless modem connects but with limited access. web browsers wont open

Go to control panel > System> Hardware > Device Manager > scroll to your wireless network adapter and select it. Right click on it and select uninstall. Make sure though not to uninstall the device drivers. Now reboot the machine and let windows find the hardware and attempt to install the drivers. It will ask you (if it is connected to the internet by cable) if it can search windows update for an updated driver...answer yes and let windows do its thing. When it is done, you should be able to connect back to the internet via wireless. You just have to sign back on to your network with the security number.

Problem with Network driver (Dell Inspiron 1525)

I might be a bit late on this but I had the exact same problem just a couple of days ago. What I did was download the drivers needed fromhere (download the two drivers in the Network section). I downloaded these from a different computer then you have to copy and save them to a flash drive and transfer them to your computer and install from there. Your wireless should work after doing this.

Can't connect using wirless internet with dell inspiron 2200

There is no switch on an Inspiron 2200. I would go to Dell's website and download the drivers for your model # and then uninstall the existing adapter. then try installing the new driver and let me know what happens.

Can't get connected

This is generally a driver glitch. Uninstall the wireless drivers from the device manager and reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers automatically. This should clear up the connection problem. If not, let me know.
