I had a similar problem with a different model Bosch dryer. First I made sure the dryer was unplugged. I found, after taking the front and rear panels off, that one of the front wheels that supports the drum was broken. I replaced the wheel and it works fine with no squeaks.
You have a bad drum bearing. When it heats up the sound goes away slightly. When the drum bearing goes bad it tilts the drum in the front and it is rubbing on the metal front. Check the seal in the front. You could use lub spray but that is only preventing the inedible-replacement. Good luck.
how old? Dryers squeak for one of 3 reasons..bad belt, bad motor or drum rubbing against dryer framework. run it empty...intermittent squeaks usually are the drum...something's bent continuous- is there any burning smell? If so, most likely the motor, if not, possibly the belt. Open the top (most have screws or can just be pried open) and watch it run...identify the source of the sound if possible
try spraying the belt and motor with a little wd-40 and let it dry for a day, then try again. If that doesn't help, repairman or new/used dryer...probably better off to find a decent one off of craigslist b4 paying to repair an already faulty machine
Run the dryer empty, if you still hear the sound but not as loud as when loaded, the bearing to the drum are shot. Either way, I think the bearings are bad. They are permanently lubricated, so ther is no greasing them.
Your drum may be out of round. The drum belt on the outside of the drum may be rubbing against the cabinet. When the cabinet heats up, the side walls of the cabinet may be bowing inward, thus making contact with the belt on the drum. This would explain why it is intermittant. When the heater turns off, the cabinet cools and the sides bow back out.
It might be metal on metal. It is possible that something worked it's way from inside the drum it between the drum and the rest of the dryer. There's just a couple of srcews that holds the back and top on to the dryer. Take them out after un-plugging the dryer, and consider plugging it back in and running it to see if you can here where the squeek is coming from.
it may need a good lubrication job. look for all rolling parts metal or plastics and give a good dose of WD-40 and observe. ba particular to the bushing of the drive motor, the roller and the center bearing that hold the drum.
