You can download the Brother printer drivers from their support WEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer to download : - http://www.brother.com.au/ProductsSolutions.aspx

Your drivers are at the bottom of the page, just scroll down to them http://www.brother.com/E-ftp/windowsvista/europe.html

For that make sure that scanner application and drivers are installed correctly.
IF still not work then uninstall all brother application and driver then reinstall again.
If you havent driver disk then you can download software and driver for your printer model from below link.

Check the total page count in the menu. If it reads 288888, you have a defective engine board and it needs to be replaced. It is neither a driver issue nor a problem with the paper cartridge.
