Try cleaning or cancelling all print jobs and resart your printer after unpluging all the cables and even tryto uninstall and then reinstall all the drivers and firmwares for this printer.........goodluck!
Right click on MyComputer and click Manage. Then go to Services and Applications and then Services. Find the Print Spooler services in the list and right click to stop it. When it is stopped try to cancel the document again. Then start the print spooler service again.
1) Disconnect the USB cable from your computer 2) Remove the ink cartridges 3) Unplug the power cord. Wait for at least 1 minute. Plug the unit back in (press the power button if necessary) 4) Wait for the "Insert Cartridges" message. Reinstall the cartridges 5) Close the product doors 6) If you receive a recalibration message, allow the printer to complete this task 7) Reconnect the USB cable 8) Try your print job again

When you install the printer software is it installed properly? if the printer is installed properly then you will do need to do the same step. First, uninstall the printer software by going to control panel > add/remove programs and then uninstall all the printer software. then go to control panel > printer and faxes if printer is present in the printer and faxes delete the printer. Restart the computer. Before reinstalling the printer software turn off your firewall, anti-virus, spyware if you have any. Then reinstall the printer. Try to scan again. if it works then try to restart your computer and scan again. it should work
With a two cartriage printer, the print heads themselves are on the cartriages. So it's likely either a driver issue, or a fault with the firmware or hardware inside the printer itself. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software for the printer first. If that doesn't solve the issue you may need to have a professional service the printer to fix the problem. HP is generally very fast and professional about fixing issues like this if the printer ends up needing to be sent in for repair.
