I heated the fryer without oil so I am assuming I ruined the heating element because it doesn't heat. My question is ca I get another heating element?

i would have to say no i cant find online rival selling individual parts for these models. But i wouldnt assume the heating element is blown. If you feel you can take it apart look and make sure that all the wires are properly connected to the heating element and that none of them shorted out.
If thats not the case then there isnt much you can do as this is not a commercial/industrial model. I know no one likes to hear that.
If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.

Rival CZF530 - does anyone know the cause of the problem with this model not heating? I've received my replacement unit and wonder if I can swap out any of the parts, but I don't want to screw up the new...

to my understanding this is due to the internal thermal fuse which is located inside the heating element. As far as I can see it can not be replaced.

I have a mdl CZF725 rival deep fryer and the lid will not stay down.

The problem is that the heating element and front control panel is not sitting in correctly. Remove the heating element/front control panel. Grab the heating element and gently pull it away from the control panel. Use care as you can break the elements off of the control panel. Reinsert and attempt to close the lid. If it does not close, then repeat this process being careful to not over bend the elements. The lid uses two plastic extensions to latch to the control panel and if the control panel is extended away from the fryer front, the lid will not latch. Also the fryer will not work as there are sensors in the control panel to sense if it is close enough to the fryer.

Our RIVAL Deep Fryer CZF725 heating element does not work. We purhased this fryer at a local WalMart store and only used it three times. WalMart told us to contact the manufacturer directly. HAVE SAME...

These models are not designed well. They are inexpensive, but not durable. I would check the connections at the element. You may have to mark this up to experience. I am surprised Wal Mart will not just replace it. Do you have your sales slip?

Our RIVAL Deep Fryer CZF725 heating element does not work. We purhased this fryer at a local WalMart store and only used it three times. WalMart told us to contact the manufacturer directly.

It didn't take me very much time or effort to type into a google search "how to contact rival deep fryer" and the results came back with this:

Rival Consumer Service
PO BOX 3900
Peoria, IL 61614

Telephone: 1-800-323-9519

Our Rival deep fryer stopped working one night...just after christmas, I figured with the holidays I would wait and contact them after... I had forgotten to until today when my husband reminded me to... So after phoning them, and speaking with Alex, I now have a free replacement cord being sent, and the deep fryer was a few days over the warranty...

Putting it back together

Check the element connections are clean and making good contact. If they are all plugged in ok, it may have developed a fault during cleaning. This may be the thermostat or element that is faulty.
