My harmon kardon avr335 has

my harmon kardon avr335 has a subwoofer problem. At times it works, others it does not. When it works and stops, I turn off receiver, then turn back on, the sub works again.
SOmetimes from turnon, it does not work. what is the problem? it is all connected properly and other speakers work ALL the time.
