Hello install this program from here:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

And reboot after the install is done.
The program will kill the autorun file, when you boot again.

Here is a free version that works great.
This is also the best free malware/trojan remover available !!!!

Install also a better free antivirus program like this:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/security-essentials-download

Please uninstall the old antivirus program, before you install
Microsoft Security Essentials.
Mse it`s not useing so much of the pc`s memory to operate.

Your windows version must be valid, to use Microsoft Security Essentials .

You might have to scan for virus, in failsafe mode by pressing F8, while the pc boots.

Good luck

Hi dear, you can remove your autorun virus without anti-virus just follow my instructions.

>>>> Open your command prompt and give these commands; for example if you have only one drive

>>>> D:/>attrib -s -h -r autorun.inf (and then press enter)
>>>> D:/> del autorun.inf (and then press enter)

Now take a reboot and after rebooting autorun virus will have been removed.

Note: if you have more than two drives you should change with D: like E: or F: or G: etc. and then give this command again and again for each drive and in the end take a reboot.

Now your drives have been cleared from autorun virus.

Good Luck

for more information you can contact me back.

Hi Ketan,

The problem seems to be in your machine rather than the pendrive.

Scan your machine for virus / Malware

Use Free Symantec...

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/tools/nss/NortonSecurityScan.exe

and MalwareBytes antimalware..

To format ur pendrive:

Start > run > diskmgmt.msc

Right clcik on ur pendrive's partiotion and choose format.

Everyone doesn't want computers infected with a virus. The question is, where the virus entered into the computer. There are two possibilities, may be infected from the Internet or external device (flash drive, memory cards, external hard drives, etc). Flash drives are external devices that are often used. When we insert the flash drive to the infected computer, flash drive will be infected with the virus. In a flash drive that is infected, will form the autorun.inf file. Autorun.inf files will work automatically, every flash drive is inserted. Setting the default operating system is windows autorun when inserted an external device. Autorun windows, used by the autorun.inf, to enter into the computer. To protect your computer from viruses, there are a few things done:
1. Update anti-virus
2. Setting anti-virus in the guard position
3. Turn off windows autorun
4. Make anti virus auto scan flash drives

Turn off autorun Windows

Win Xp : Press START - run - regedit - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer - NoDriveTypeAutoRun - Value Data - Type = ff - OK

Win Vista / 7 : Press START - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Autoplay - uncheck "Use Autoplay for all media devices" - SAVE.

Make ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus Auto Scan Flash Drive

Using software USB Safely Remove. Open software USB Safely Remove - click View - Options - Global Autorun - After device plugging - click Add process to launch list - click browse, open directory C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ecls.exe - Open - then double click the drive letter, to add parameter %DriveLetter% - then, on the tab File name and parameters, write /log-file=c:\report.txt /log-rewrite /aind - OK. Then. click Add process to launch list - write "C:\report.txt" - then unchecked "Wait for the process to finish" and "Launch the process for drives only" OK - FINISH.

Computers restarts on inserting usb pendrive problem

The reason is simple, once some virus has infected the pen drive and has created autorun entries, it can run any-kind of task through auto-play feature.

So to fix it, we first of all need to Disable Autoplay on all removable drives. see the following link http://www.troublefixers.com/how-to-protect-your-computer-from-virus-in-pen-drives/

After this, Insert the pen drive, do not open the drive or double click on it, simply insert it. Now its time for some cleaning by removing Virus created autorun entries, see this following link for removing autorun entries.
http://www.troublefixers.com/scan-and-remove-suspicious-autoruninf-with-autorun-eater-virus-removal-tools/

That is it, its done. But if you still face problem with the drive, format the pen drive. We hope you find it useful.
