Toshiba Equium EA60 - Model No. PSA67E

The computer comes on for a few seconds then switches itself off. REASON - There was 512 memory in so I decided to fit more. There was only 1 slot and that contained 256mb,( couldn't understand where the other 256mb memory was.) Anyway I took it out and fitted 1gig Memory stick, but unfortunately it was the wrong sort. Instead of DDR 2700, I fitted DDR2 5300.! ---- Made a right hash of that haven't I. What have I done and can it be rectified. I would be most grateful for your advice. regards Gillian

Refer to your operating instructions manual and it will tell you how to re format or call the 1 800 number for the support tech and he can walk you thru it ..... thats my recommendation ....

Toshiba Satellite 1805-s253 memory upgrade

Usually this means it supports 512 mb of "Single sided" ram, which is rarer and more expensive... the usual ram you buy now is double-sided.. which will often only see one of the sides in older machines.

Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-S405 Memory upgrade problem

This usually happens when the laptop is not able to take more then a certain amount of memory, as the system BIOS does not support higher. By saying ACPI as the blue screen, that tells me that the power subsystem does not 'like' having more then 512MB of RAM. I am 95% sure this is your BIOS because of that information. Check and see if you can find a BIOS upgrade for your computer model, and that might fix the issue, if an update is available.

Toshiba EA60 laptop wont go in boot sequance, its stop after toshiba logo and gives a black screen with blinking curser in top lef corner

Its probably not the BIOS but the board warping beneath the CPU Socket or similar.. Dont flash it (BIOS) or it will probably kill the chip. Let me look up the model number...

This is a link to the download site for Toshiba drivers. Select the model of your laptop and click Go to retrieve a list of available drivers. Before doing this, however, you need to be certain of the model number of your laptop. Equium is the make of toshiba desktop computers and A60 is the model number for a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Look on the bottom of your laptop for a label that will have the exact model number you need then select that on the website.
