If you selected the right operating system for the computer you are trying to install this printer on from the drop down window under MAC. It should have fixed your problem. If it did not work you can contact me and I will call you for free to make sure you get it working. If it worked please go back and rate this fixya so other people that have this same problem know this is the way to fix the problem so I do not have to spend another hour typing in the same problem twice. If you still need help feel free to contact me and I will get the exact version you need. I just need the exact version of the operating system you are using. Let me know how you make out.
George.... I do this for a hobby, I never charge for any personal help. Just want to make sure you're up and running.

I'm trying to install a Lexmark X5150 printer but I'm getting an error message.

Your Mac is an Intel-based computer (see About this Mac in Apple menu), but the software to setup the printer was produced a long time ago for Macs that had PowerPC processors. Apple hasn't support PowerPC Macs since OS X 10.4 (Tiger). If you really need supporting utilities for the printer, search for "Lexmark X5100 for Intel Mac" on the web.

I get os 601.64

Compatibility problem - the driver is for an older Windows version than the one you are running. Try installing it in compatibility mode . If that still doesn't work then all that's left is to wait for HP to create drivers for your printer that specifically made for your OS.

How to install my printer

Toss a dog a bone! Can you confirm that it's an HP printer?
What OS and type of device (computer, phone, Mac, PC, Windows version, ...) are you trying to install it on?
How are you trying to install the printer?
How are you connecting the printer to your computer? (USB, network, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or ?)
Have you tried to install it, and if so, what happened? Exactly what error messages did you get?

Here is a link to the drivers for the OfficeJet 4215 all-in-one if that helps you get what you need without answering all the questions above: Drivers Software

I am not able to install protools in my Mac. My os is 10.4.11. I have downloaded the drivers needed for the OS but it gives me a pop box stating fatal OS.

Pro-Tools 8 and above requires an Intel-based Mac running OS 10.5.5 or later. The newest version you can use with Mac OS 10.4.x is ProTools 7.4, and the oldest version that will work with your hardware is 7.1. The complete system compatibility list is on the Avid site.

If you meet compatibility requirements, but get an installer error, you may have a corrupted download - try downloading again with no other network traffic from that computer during the download. If I read the download page correctly, most of the downloads are upgrade patches for previously installed versions rather than full installation packages. Attempting to run these without the older version in place will generate some sort of error. - how gracefully it is handled depends on the style, skill and diligence of the programmer.

You may also want to do a file system and permissions check on your computer with Disk Utility to make sure there are none of those problems causing hangups.

Trying to install the Hp Photosmart C4500 All In one Series to my computer and it won't install says not compatible says only compatible with Windows Xp & Vista I have Windows 7. Is there anyway to...

If you are trying to install from the cd that came with the printer it is an older version.
To get updated drivers go to HP website. http://www.hp.com.
click on support and drivers.
1. Click Download drivers and software (and firmware)
2. Type in the printer model number click on GO.
Some printers have several versions, so it may ask for your version. click on your version.
3. From the dropdown select your Operating System click next it will then show you the drivers, updates and utilities for your Operating system.
At this point you can either download the drivers or order a cd from HP.
