You havn't so much lost a colour as you have a damaged video cable from the PC to the monitor.
The wires inside the cable can break very easily, and will make contact (and look normal) if the cable is moved into the right position.
Grab the cable about 4" from the back of the PC and push it towards the PC (while it's all plugged in and running).
Then move the cable in a circle while it's sort of crunched up like that.
The signal should go good (maybe only for a second) and if you can find something to keep the cable in that position until you get a new one it will be fine.
If you have a spare cable, then just swap it over.

I use Acer AL1912 19inch (black) monitor. It is working properly for weeks. but sometime it suddenly go dark during work, although its light remains green. Now the only solution is to unplug its power...

Sounds like the monitor is dying, if it starts to die more and more often you will likely have to replace your monitor before it goes completely out. There are not many ways for a user to repair a monitor, unless the problem is with the computer, which you could test by connecting a different monitor to the computer for a while (if available). Hope this helps!

I have an Acer AL1912 that when you plug in the ac, the green power light will blink for about a minute and a half then go solid. The backlight will come on and you can see a faint ghost of vertical lines...

If it is still in warranty call the manufacturer.
if not give more info elah4@zoominternet.net. May be somthing simple like a cable
shutdown computer unplug then disconnect the video cable on the computer from the monitor, plug monitor back in and turn it on, there should be a display that says no video source within a few seconds, if unit is working properly. shutdown and connect video again and then reboot computer. sometimes it just takes a compleat power disconect to reset things,

How can I connect my Fujitsu Siemens key board with my Acer AL1912 monitor? There is a connect button on the key board, but where is the connect button on the Acer?

Is it a wireless keyboard? If that is the case, then you should have a receiver unit attached to the PC, usually to a USB port. The ACER is justt a monitor, here is the user manual: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Acer-AL1912-Monitors-manual/id/719ag115/t/2/

Acer AL 1912 (black) resolution issue

LCD Monitor Shadow Effect
This problem is best described as the LCD monitor "Shadow Effect".
The solution to this very simple. No software or hard ware changes required.
The cables that are connected to the LCD monitors are causing the problem. Its also called as electromagnetic noise or electrical noise.
Solution: Keep the two cables - (power cable and moitor display cable), that are connected to the LCD monitor as far away as possible with each other and also away from other electrical cables.
Thats it. Your shadow effect is fixed.
Thank you.

My acer AL1912 monitor keeps going fuzzy. It kind

An unusual problem for a flat screen monitor.
I suggest you connect the monitor to another PC to see if the problem persists since it could also be caused by the video card (or circuit, if on board).
Check your cables making sure they are solidly connected and wiggle them to see if you can cause the problem to come or go away; this would crudely check the shielding of them.
This kind of aberration could easily happen with a conventional CRT monitor if power supply filtering was failing but as mentioned, uncommon in a monitor that is essentially digital.

It might be worth a try but the two different sizes could have differing resolutions and if they do, the boards are not likely interchangeable.

Acer AL1912 sometimes doesnt start

Try reseating your cable connections. While you have them off, take some compressed air and clean both the connection ports on the back of the computer and cable connections. Check to make sure there are no bent pins on the cable connectors. If you know how, you might also want to open your computer case and reseat your video card and clean your system out with the compressed air. Make sure your computer is completely shut down properly and is unplugged from the outlet when you do this and before you work inside the case make sure you touch the metal side to discharge any built up static electricity you may have so that it does not cause damage to the sensitive components inside your system. If possible you might want to take the monitor and connect it to another computer system, if it works properly on that system, more than likely it might be your video card. Hope this helps
