I accidentally clicked print on a 84 page document & couldn't stop even after going to "Printers & Faxes" & cancelling the job I couldn"t stop the printing. Now when I attempt a print job a window opens telling me the cover is open or the cartridge is missing, neither of which is true. What's happening? email@example.com .
It turned out to be a paper jam. I was getting the wrong msg from the printer. I notice that U have charged my bank acct. 4 BOTH of ur plans, Since I solved the problem myself, pls rescind these charges. Thank you. jrfoley1@ juno.com

Hello, try going to Start > Printers and Faxes > then double-click on your printer, and go to the top of the box where you should see 4 tabs :- 'Printer' ; 'Document' ; 'View' ; 'Help' Click on 'Printer' and you should see 'Cancel all Documents' The above is based on the assumption you're using XP; it may differ slightly for Vista or 7 Regards, nicam49
open the printer and faxes the double click on the printer driver and cancel the all pending document ....... and check the printer status ......... if is it in ready means only you can take print ......
for any clarification please post your comment ....
to cancel a print job click on the start button then go to control panel and thento printers and faxes you will see the name of your printer
right click on that icon and select cancel all documents
confirm the cancel and select yes
if even after doing this step 2-3 times the print job is not cancelled then
click on start in run tupe services.msc
then in the window that will open up look for print spooler
and then right click on print spooler and click on stop
now unplug the usb cable from the printer and restart the computer
after restart go to the printers folder and then see if there are any printjobs
is still ther are any right click on the printer folder and select cancel all documents
and now connect the usb cable
Click on control panel, then double click printers and faxes, then double click the printer you are using, a panel will appear, and you click on the document name you have entered, then click on document, then cancel and click yes when asked if you want to cancel the print job. It will take it a little while but it will clear the job you have entered.
