I am not sure what the problem is exactly- I am trying to use this software from Weekly Reader- Mastering Elementary School. It works sporadically and often closes out saying that Macromedia projector failed to initialized or was not installed. I am not really sure what I need to do.

This is for the Pooh Learning Toddler that came with the 2 disc bundle, running on a Windows XP operating system.
The software installed fine, but it was crashing when trying to open from the built-in "Launcher." I believe the error was Macromedia Projector related. Instead of opening with the Launcher.exe, open the WinnieT.exe program. You'll probably have to create a separate shortcut to your desktop/Start Menu, if you want a shortcut, that is. Before you open the program, some small adjustments need to be made. Right click on WinnieT.exe. Go to the Properties, then the Compatibility menu. Change the Compatibility mode to Windows 95 and check all the boxes below (I think the 640x480 resolution and the 256 colors is especially important to check). I believe it also ran for me in the Windows 98/ME mode, but there is no difference between the two. Good luck!
In general no. He/she will need some elementary vector calculus as well if he will try solve problems regarding design of various circuits powered by AC. Some elementary integral/differential calculus will be useful if he/she wants to solve more complicated problems with respect to power/energy consumption for example.Let just say Algebra is a MUST!
