make sure you have selected the correct media in the printer driver. The tracking mode has 3 options, (1) Web Sensing (Cut Labels), (2) Mark Sensing (Black marks on back of liner) and (3) Continuous . In your case select continuous. It sounds like the printer is in the wrong media mode and is feeding labels looking for a mark or gap and when it doesn't find one it flags a media error.
The first thing I would do is to default the printer then run a width calibration. The instruction are in the user's manual that should have come with the printer. If the instruction did not come with the printer I can provide the instruction.
